Great food and ambience, great date night place
Being vegetarians and not too fond of cheese we had avoided this place for more than 2 decades. But so glad we finally decided to try it! Plenty of options for vegetarians and the service is amazing they cater to every need. Excellent fresh vegetables and the desert fondu was delicious. Now looking forward to our next visit to try a few other items on the menu.
We had the stinking rose which was a little bland for us but then they suggested cayenne peppers with it š The starter salad was excellent I had it with lemon tarragon dressing on the side. The grilled veggies and the dips to go with it just fantastic!! They even made a complimentary toast to celebrate Fatherās Day.
Note:
-The dress code is casual at least when we were there we saw a lot of them in shorts and quite informal attire. This was one of the reasons we avoided this place earlier.
-our son on the spectrum enjoyed the food and the place, they have plenty of tables so even though he is verbal autistic it was not disturbing anyone, so other parents donāt hesitate if this is one concern to take your special needs child there.
- They do not have GF bread which I wish they will add to their menu soonš¤for those who have a dietary restriction.
Elana was our waitress and she was patient, friendly and just amazing making sure we had a great experience keeping in mind all the dietary restrictions we had mentioned.
Highly recommended for vegetarians(even those watching sugar levels) and for those who avoid such formal places because of a special needs requirements.
Interesting food to try.
The restroom is even worse than a fast food restaurant. I donāt recommend.
Awesome experience. The service was great. the food was amazing. I absolutely love their chefs salad with honey mustard dressing. We skipped alcohol for drinks and stuck with ice water. We enjoyed stinking rose cheese fondue, then grilled wild things for the main course and finally milk chocolate decadent fondue with treats for dipping. We had a wonderful meal, enjoyed conversation, and left with very full bellies. 5 stars!
Overall very good but overpriced and overrated. Staff is friendly, ambience is very cool
2025 update: no more stout in the menu (
First time at La Fondu in Saratoga. The elegant ivy framed signage bespoke a more elegant restaurant front (with exterior wall water fountain). Inside is a spray painted murals of Chinese /Japanese? but gothic chandeliers of Camelot days & the heated tables for the fondue pot. Selected your meats & seafood (we chose lobster & shrimp) with a Lobster bisque for dipping. There were 6 different sauce dips if you wish to dip more! The dessert was chocolate nibs with a flaming pot & an assorted sugary items such as fudge, maybe brownie, ice cream puff and strawberry & banana were my favorites. Excellent place to go for a celebration.
We celebrated my Wife's birthday!! And we had a really good time, the food was great, the drinks were perfect, we recommend this Restaurant 100%! The service was excellent!! Thank you!!

This was a great experience. The food was very good, and different / unusual. Not super sophisticated gourmet or subtle, but that's not what you come here for. All the meats were very tender and tasty. The server was a pro, and very personable as well.
Came to La Fondue to celebrate our anniversary. Booked some roses and champagne and a place in their rose room. As we entered, we could smell the food right away and it was fabulous. The room itself was larger (and less exclusive) than the reservation page made it seem. Still, it was very pretty and my fiancee really enjoyed the decor. The menu is daunting for a first timer but our server helped us out, and we were soon on our way to dip things in melted cheese. The food was a but heavy but tasty. Not for the faint of heart. Overall, a great experience. The salad bowl was great and probably carried the evening for my health-conscious fiancee.
We came to La fondue (all 14 of us!) purely for the service that the the hostess (Hailey) and the server (Chelsea) provided us. Daniel was also great! I cannot even describe the level of exhaustion and need that 14 elementary school teachers need at the beginning of the school year. When we entered the restaurant, Hailey greeted us with so much calm and enthusiasm. The server, Chelsea was extremely attentive. We are so grateful!
Food is just OK, and the fondue style feels a bit like a gimmick at this point.
Salads were no better than something out of a bag from the supermarket.
We expected MUCH better at this high a price point.
