How much do you think a small, 2x4 inch chocolate cake slice should cost? Prices are not listed, and when I asked how much a cake slice was, the response was, “I don’t know. It depends on the weight.” She was not forthcoming about the average weight or the price per weight. Feeling awkward, I said I’ll have a cake slice then. I felt scammed when they rang me up at $30/lb and the cake slice was $12 — like 50% higher than what I’d expect for such a small slice. The cake slice also tasted below average, too much whipped cream and slightly stale cake layers. At the very least, they need to have transparent pricing and labels.

Good service, delicious dessert and a good latte! Only recommendation is to change the themed paper plates to something better.

Absolutely lovely experience, 10/10! It was my first time trying Persian tea, and it was amazing. I was in LOVE with the Napoleon cake; the pastry was perfectly fresh and tasty as well. The place had a nice and friendly vibe, even the decor was warmly inviting, plus the staff were really cool and nice with excellent service. Thanks Kandoo!

Kandoo Café is honestly one of the coziest spots I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, the staff are always kind and friendly, and the drinks and desserts are super fresh and delicious (especially the lemon Napoleon). It feels so homey that you just want to keep coming back.

Stopped by on a whim to get some dessert. They had some beautifully decorated Persian desserts, well displayed. Expensive - paid $38 for a slice of cake, 3 small cookies and 2 small pieces of baklava. I like supporting small businesses but dang. The pastries were too sweet for my taste. The salesperson weighed the box too.

What a cute cafe with delicious persian pastries and ice cream. I got the Persian tea which paired with rightly sweetened pastries. The indoor seating is super Comfy and cozy. Definitely try the almond tart with persian tea

Kandoo Cafe has been our go to for birthday cakes. Our son recently turned three and we asked them to make two separate cakes. We couldn't be happier with the how they turned out as well as the flavors. Definitely showstoppers. Will be using them again in the future.

Amazing experience. The woman who was up front gave us excellent service. Was more interested in the Persian style of food, as this is what they specialize in. She brought me to each type of sweet that is eaten there. All of it was delicious and the coffee was great.

Prices are ridiculous. Last time i got one pound of zoolbia bamieh for $27 a pound. I got the same pastry from los Angeles for $10 a pound .

Hands down the best persian bakery in the bag area.

Get the cream puffs and if you have the time a pot of tea

I really love many of the pastries and cookies here, but I was surprised to spend $43 on just a small box of some bamieh and zabon. I got the smallest box they have, and I should’ve asked the cost beforehand I suppose, because I felt a little ripped off when I left.

I like the Turkish coffee. Dessert is okay.

Pathetic service!!

I'm usually one to find the silver lining, but my recent visit to Kandoo Bakery left me utterly baffled and frankly, insulted. On a long weekend Sunday afternoon, when you'd expect a bustling cafe, Kandoo was a ghost town. Seriously, just one other customer besides us. Great, I thought, quick service! Oh, how wrong I was.
The sole hostess, bless her heart, was engaged in what appeared to be an endless, rambling conversation with that single customer. For 15 to 20 agonizing minutes, we stood there, patiently waiting to simply be acknowledged. It wasn't like she was slammed; she literally had one person to deal with. We tried to catch her eye, subtle shifts, polite coughs – nothing. It was as if we were invisible. The conversation meandered on, utterly oblivious to our presence, our growing frustration, and the sheer audacity of being ignored for so long in an empty establishment.
We eventually had to walk out, not because we didn't want anything, but because the blatant disregard for our time and the complete lack of basic customer service felt like a personal affront. It was humiliating. Kandoo Bakery, you managed to turn a simple desire for baked goods into a masterclass in how not to run a business.
