Pretty nice
I have known the Korean waitress since the E 3rd Avenue, San Mateo location days. Extremely friendly waitress. Food portion is always generous and decent quality. I have been to both locations but sadly, the San Mateo location doesn't exist anymore.

if there was a 6th star I would give it. I ordered doordash and some of my friends have a severe allergy. I called the restaurant and the woman that answered my call was super clear and concise that there were none of their allergies in the sushi. what really put this place over the top was: after the dasher had picked up my order, the same woman called me back and double checked that only the salad dressing had the allergen. that type of attention to detail, memory, and care for customers is just super hard to find these days, and what makes an establishment truly great. 10/10 would come back for the service and the food was fire too.

Worst Japanese food. Teriyaki chicken was as hard as leather. Teriyaki salmon was hard and over cooked. The Gyoza….seemed like fried multiple times and hard.

We used to come here often after hikes. Today’s lunch was very disappointing. The tofu salad was terrible! and they used firm tofu instead of silken. And the sauce wasn’t good either. My sashimi was cut in huge chunks. After bringing the food, the waitress never showed up to check on us.
The plus side… the restaurant is in a nice court yard and we can bring our dog with us.
Finally when she brought us the bill, we told her about the tofu salad, she was rude and told me we were the first one to complain about the tofu. So I removed one star from the service.

Perfect little gateway to delicious rolls, tempura and more. Slightly hidden away, but a perfect place to wind down in the evening, with some crisp beer, and some good Sushi. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and were happy with both the food, as well as the service.
Vegetarian options: Lots of good Veggie rolls. Loved the Eggplant roll, as well as the Pickled Radish roll. Good variety overall.

Don’t miss it!
Delicious
The fish tastes fresh but the way it's served here is quite bad. Sushi is far too large, completely destroying the delicate feeling of eating bite sized pieces. The rice doesn't stick to the fish. My 5 individual sushi orders arrived all at once. For some odd reason, katsuo was seared without the menu warning about that.
