We celebrated a birthday and everything was great. The food and service were beyond our expectations. We will be back.
Let me start by saying we have visited Michelin restaurants all over the world Our Experience here starting great, food was great. Things feel apart with the Wagu beef (which was a supplement). Beef very fatty, new beef presented a little better. Service slowed after wagu beef was returned. Took over 20 minutes to remake. Then another 30 minutes to receive the deserts. We had to ask for our receipt after 30 minures of waiting since we finished coffee. We were there a total of 3 hours from start to finish. Too long for such small number of total courses.
Food was amazing. Vibes were great. We came to celebrate our anniversary and every single staff of the restaurant congratulated us on our anniversary. Got complimentary champagne. The yellowtail tuna tartare with passionfruit sorbet was probably one of the best things I've ever tasted in my life and I am a picky eater. Beef tenderloin melts in your mouth. Oysters were bomb. Canapes were pretty great too (my favorite being the kampachi) Apple souffle was insane
One of the best dining experiences I've had! The caliber & personalization of service, ambiance and 4-course meal were exceptional! Such a treasure to have an experience like this so accessible to the South Bay. I will definitely be back and bringing loved ones again to savor an unforgettable meal together!
Simply one of the best in the Bay Area. Excellent service, Michelin level food and great value for your money.
Excellent service, incredible wine list, great quality food and excellent preparation, would have given 5 stars but dessert was disappointing and made with food dyes.
Excellent birthday dinner. These people not only know how to cook (the Michelin star is more than deserved, the food was uniformly excellent and very creative) but also the whole team how to make people feel special and well taken care of. An excellent choice and a unique and memorable experience.
This was July of 2025.
We ate here for my birthday a few months ago. Food was phenomenal, but i was very disappointed. First off, I DO NOT drink and i told the server this. we got the tasting menu, and it felt like they were offering champagne to us for free, i politely declined as i do not drink, but then the server insisted as a “cheers”. nobody wanted it, and it seemed clear to them, but we were served it anyway. We thought it was included, as why would they push alcohol on someone who doesn’t drink, but nope, we saw the check and there were 6 glasses on there that literally nobody wanted or drank. It was a terrible taste on an incredible meal.
Plumed Horse should be incredibly clear what is included and what is not, and please do not push alcohol on someone who says they do not want it, and then charge them (i obviously did not drink it).
Incredible menu and incredible food but left us with a bad taste in our mouth. I do not think we will return.

Overall excellent experience. Amazing food. Slight lack of attentiveness regarding drinks. Otherwise, great service

Disappointing experience with lackluster food and inconsistent service. It took 2 people to find our reservation. We previously chose the 4 course meal and was told we were getting a 5th course (the canapes) and no choice on the menu items. Maybe it was because of the holidays and they expected everyone to eat the same thing. But the explanation was incoherent. Nice touch on offering champagne or apple cider to start the meal. However, did not acknowledge my friend's birthday, which was on the reservation. Signature uni souffle was tasty, but could have used more soup. Trout was bland. Steak course was cooked well, but also a bit under seasoned. My friend asked for the wine list at the beginning of the meal. Instead, was provided a list of choices by an inexperienced sommlier (or was he one)? Of course he recommended a cabernet when she asked for a syrah (which wasn't available). He kept listing things until we said, just bring us the wine list. Notice all his recommendations were the expensive ones. Not surprising, but really? Took the one knife left for the meat course right before the dish was brought to the table. Two servers noticed, but we still had to ask before getting a knife. The little things count at these types of restaurants. Decor was decent with options to sit in dining room or bar area. Music choice for the evening was not right for fine dining experience. And why does everyone ask if we've been there before. Do we get better service if we are regulars? Guess we will never know, since not likely to return.
Great place... we had the 8 course menu, it was all fantastic and our server was awesome. Alex was not our server, but he took Amazing care of us. Not an inexpensive meal, but 5 star
Good food, strange choice of music. Surprised to hear suspense music and rap music with obscene language.

Overrated. Looks fancier than the food actually is and tastes. Tiny portions. You will leave hungry even after 5 courses. I think it should lose whatever Michelin star it has. Highly unimpressive
