Great appetizers and salad
Great food and incredible service! One of my favorite things about the Basin (been a handful of times) is the ambiance - it truly feels like a family-run fine dining establishment. Every time I'm in the South Bay I try and stop by! Owners are great too - always on site and conversing with the customers, really constructing a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
The Basin is a shadow of its former self. The inside atmosphere is brighter and less inviting with bad music. Staff is uninformed about the restaurant, food and wine. The lamb shank was gamey.I miss the way the Basin used to be. I am not sure what happened to this place but I won't be returning.
Good variety of entrees on the menu. We ordered three different tacos. Short rib, halibut, and shrimp. All three were really good. Very small like street tacos. Will try the dinner entree next time with the family.
Food was exceptionally delicious and the service was friendly and wonderful.
This used to be our go-to place for anniversaries and birthday dinners when we first moved to the area. It’s been about 8 years since we’ve been there, and the place has changed for the better. Less formal and a more diverse menu with a wider range of prices. We just had appetizers, which were enormous and good. Really enjoyed sitting out on the patio, with the giant tree in the center. Excellent service too. Great place - I’d go back again if I lived nearby.
Super friendly service, server was quite knowledgeable of menu items and drinks. The trout was seared perfectly, martini was mixed perfectly. Duck was super flavorful and not gamey.Staff was super accommodating , and the setting was perfect. Highly recommended!
Excellent meal with creative, high quality dishes. Very attentive service!
Beautiful outside seating
A friend recommended the Basin, we tried it out before we brought a family member from out of town. I had the duck confit, it was absolutely amazing. Duck is so hard to get right and this was perfect. Also loved being able to Apple Pay for my meal. Scanned the QR code, boop boop, paid. I can’t wait to go back.

Service was good and the food was great. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
This restaurant offers dining both outside as well as inside. Happy hours with limited options are from 4 to 6 pm. Entrees are well presented and prepared. Good wine and beer offers. Service is adequate and friendly. Good place for family and casual fares.
Nice environment, excellent service. The food quality and portions are a weakness. You raise expectations when you price the burger over $20 and the risotto over $25. Bacon and heavy cream are definitely not premium or elegant ingredients, they belong to the street. There is an opportunity to offer healthier options.
Service was slow and inattentive. The food was ok but the prices were way too high.We won't go back.
Great food and service! The breezeway gets noisy but that's mostly a COVID-19 thing I think.
