I love Hero Ranch! Service was great, but both our Hero Ranch Old Fashions tasted like there was no bourbon. We were wondering if you're pouring with a lot less liquor these days? We should have turned them back in, but we were consumed with conversation. Probably won't order them again. Peggy

We asked to sit in a different spot because there was a large table and lots of loud talking. We were moved to the very last table at the end of the restaurant when there were four other tables in the row closer to the front available. When we left, the very first table in the long row was still vacant. I can understand if we did not have a reservation, but we did have one. The wait staff was excellent and the food was delicious. We didn't really appreciate being treated that way.

We had a reservation yet the hostess sat us at the worst table at the back of the restaurant without the same ambiance- when asked if we could sit at either of the 2 tables at the front she stated those were for people with reservations!!!

Our first time to Saratoga but hopefully not our last. We loved the town and noticed this place across from where we stayed because of the long line waiting to open every day. Our last night we made reservations. The Mexican Corn appetizer is the bomb! Beet salad, great! Had a variety of steak or seafood options. Huge onion rings! We split the tomahawk daily special. Brought us a surprise for our anniversary. Would definitely recommend. Loved the staff, too.
My son and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Hero Ranch. The wedge salad and crab cakes are our go to—sooooooo delicious. I tried the burger for the first time—it was perfect. My son enjoyed the halibut. Such a fun meal.

Went there for my partner's birthday. Her meal was great! Mine was pretty bad. Had the ribs, with broccollini instead of slaw. The ribs had next to no meat and the broccolini was raw! Didn't want to make a big fuss but they did nothing beyond offering to fire the broccoli again, but by that time we were half way thru the meal so it made no sense. That would have been okay, except something was off with my salad (fork and knife Caesar...maybe it was the raw eggs?) or the ribs, but spent an extended period of time in the bathroom late that that night and morning. Frustrating to say this because we really like this place and the wait staff is top notch. Every kitchen has its off nights and I guess we just landed on that night. We like this place but I sure won't order the ribs or Caesar in the future!

We've been at Hero's ranch 3 other times and everything was fantastic. This night was our first time being seated inside. It was very nice. There was 4 people across from us that were very loud probably intoxicated. Anyways, were ordered three appetizers. The first that came out was our onion rings. One bite and the onion rings crumbled into pieces. The onion rings were burnt. I did mention it to the waitress and she said she would let the kitchen know. Nothing came of that but we went on. The second thing that came out was the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Cornbread, again, very dry and very hard and cold. Then came the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sliders, same outcome, dry, cold. While trying to eat these dried sharables, drinks never came out during this. Next was the entrees, my wife liked the salad. I did not like my pork chop due to it was very cold and it took some time to arrive to our table. I sent it back and decided not to try again as the night was not going well for eating. Than my 2 sons and guest ordered the 7oz Harris Ranch 5 Diamond Prime Filet. One of my sons ordered his steak medium, came red inside. 2nd son ordered medium rear, blood red inside still. 3rd guest same problem. They asked to have it cooked longer as the steak was just impossible to eat. They were just chewing forever. When the steaks came back, seemed liked they did not put the steaks back on the grill. So sad. I used to really like this restaurant.
