If indicated mild, they make it mild and spicy it’s spicy. That was great for me and my dining companion who had different taste preferences.
Vegan thali is a nice generous amount which is so helpful in these days of higher prices dining out.
Several menu items are clearly marked vegan which is very helpful to be comfortable whole ordering

Finding this restaurant has been a pleasant surprise since moving to Sausalito! I went with a Nepalese friend interested to see how much of the menu is influenced by Nepal, and we were pleased to see a consistent Nepalese theme to the decorations inside. That convinced us to stay and order, and the food was excellent. The momos were very flavorful, the chow mein was spicy and delicious (“hot” was plenty for me, “Indian hot” is likely too much for most patrons!), and all meat dishes were juicy and nice to look at. We agreed that this is a place we’ll need to go to again and again!

I stopped by Satraj Indian Cuisine for lunch as it was the only Indian place open in town at the time. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. We tried momos, two types of curries, and bread. The curries were served in very limited portions and lacked the richness and depth you’d expect from a good Indian meal. The momos were bland and didn’t leave much of an impression. Overall, it was a disappointing lunch experience.

My wife and I had lunch at Sartaj today on a recommendation. We are very familiar with Pakistani, Indian and Nepalese cuisine and found the food excellent in all respects. Service was most friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was pretty quiet — ideal for us — though it may be more lively in the evenings. We will definitely make the trip over the Golden Gate Bridge to visit again.
Veggie momos were not great but liked the other things that we ordered - daal makhani, paneer tikka masala.

We went in for dinner, party of 12 people Monday evening 7/7/25. After dinner we told the girl charging my card to add 20% gratuity. She had already added the 20% to the bill but instead of telling me that, she added another 20% on top and never gave me a receipt. It was late at night and our grand kids were tired and crying, so we were not really thinking. I discovered this when I added all the items we ordered next morning. These guys cheat on their bills, double check the checks before paying. We paid $628 for 12 people for standard food.
