Sartaj Indian is a gem of a find! After some disappointment experience in SF, we felt like we definitely hit gold with this one! The food tastes like home-cooked!! The service is prompt and the staff friendly. Definitely recommend. We tried a variety of vegetarian options and wiped our plates clean!!

I recently dined at this place and it was a total disappointment . It was the worst indian food i ever had. We ordered samosas, bhatoora, aloo parantha, dal makhani, paneer, chicken manchoorian and naan. Nothing was good. We felt most of their food is frozen and not fresh at all and tastes worst.

Really good restaurant. Seemed family owned and operated, food was incredible and was made pretty quickly! I enjoyed that they had Indian beers in bottles there, which really tied the meal together. The garlic Naan was super good too. Just the right amount of garlic and it was toasted to perfection. If I find myself around the restaurant, I will definitely visit again.

Only thing good about this restaurant is location. Food is really bland and tasteless, curry tasted like ketch-up, biryani was like bland masala rice. We also found cockroach beside our seat which waiter had to remove. Then they forgot to provide rice with curry. Overall bad service and bad food. Would not recommend to anyone.

My go to Indian takeout in Sausalito/Marin! I LOVE the Sartaj Chicken Special dish, its such a unique blend of flavors and spices and truly never disappoints. Not to be confused with the Chefs Special Chicken :) although that dish is ALSO delicious and my other go-to when I'm in the mood for more of a coconut curry and less spice. I alternate between the two and always add on the Nepali style thali (a must). I am a huge fan. Thank you for providing our neighborhood with such delicious food!
The food is not that great. I ordered chicken tikka masala. The chicken is never roasted in oven ( it's not a tikka as promised on menu). The server did not bother ask for water or any breaverage before starting the order. The garlic naan was good.
