So...July 4, 2025. I was hastily looking for something to do that would keep me and my girlfriend away from the crowds but still have the vibe of the SF Bay experience. After living here for most of our lives, we still love the Bay so we’re always looking to engage with it in new ways. Then I remembered that there were a couple of restaurants that I had not been to on the Sausalito side of the Golden Gate. I called Sula, and could not get through to a human, so, I took a chance that we might show up an hour before dark and get dinner, maybe walk down and see SF fireworks or just take a walk. I know, a little crazy to think that might work. Sula met and exceeded expectations in a number of ways. First, I was right to arrive by 7pm....the train of cars/people who followed seemed endless, but, they were not coming for dinner, just fireworks, so we got to Sula with no parking problems, we we’re greeted kindly, got a table outdoors, delicious cocktails off their specialty menu, a great dinner with perfect portions and flavors (but remember, we are Californians, so, your ideas might be different) and a magical evening. We just listened to the fireworks as trees were in our way, but, we did not care as our view of the environs, the marina district and the bridge were divine. Then after dinner, we had a easy stroll to the pier and bridge while we waited for the firework folk to go home. Sula is a lovely place with food well prepared and a location that puts you at ease and in awe. Wether you are a resident or a visitor, you’ll appreciate what is on offer here. Thanks for a great evening.
The outdoor setting looking across the vast lawn to the Golden Gate Bridge is just fantastic. It is a new name and new menu since we last dined at Cavallo Point and we very much enjoyed our main courses, the salmon and the sole. The roasted pear salad was delicious but short on pear. We skipped a starter as none sounded appealing to us, maybe we are too traditional and they were great, probably our loss.
The hostess greeted us warmly, our waiter, Manuel, was charming, and the food was delicious. It was a nice dining experience in a beautiful location.
Loved every food that we ordered. Not too pricey, expected for it to be higher for how the food tasted.😍
We love Sula! Get a window with a view to enjoy the excellent food and service! Wine list was surprisingly small.
10th anniversary to remember with managers and staff congratulating us, free champagne, and mini desserts with Happy Anniversary written on a chocolate. It was in every way a true 5-star experience!!
This place is beautiful and has great food and drinks. And the service is excellent! The only downside is that it is expensive
Food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. I would definitely eat there again and I highly recommend it.
Sula is in a beautiful location at Cavallo Point in Fort Baker right near the Golden Gate Bridge. The restaurant is lovely, good acoustics. The food is good but quite expensive. My husband and I both had fish entrees: petrale sole and salmon. The fish was overcooked. My daughter had rack of lamb, asked for it to be medium rare. It arrived medium almost well done. This was unacceptable considering the price of these entrees. Our server was great.
We had a wonderful meal on Father's Day at Sula. The food was all excellent -- we particularly loved the shaved salad and the petrale sole. We sat outside and enjoyed beautiful views. Francisco, our server, was gracious and attentive -- the service really stood out on this visit.

Great service, gorgeous view of the GG bridge and downtown SF from the outdoor dining space. I have been there twice now. The food is mediocre, unfortunately, and for the price, it shouldn't be. You're paying for the view.
It's an American fusion restaurant with great variety of cuisine and drinks. Full bar. Amazing views to Golden Gate Bridge and hills. Delicious, fresh and well portioned plates.
Inside and outdoor seating. There are two side by side restaurants and OK if you cross order.
Not sure if accessible given some stairs.
Street parking available.
Good for couples, date night, small group and meetup.
The sole which was ordered by 3 out of 4 was1. Appeared to have been fried and 2. was well over sauced. However, the salmon was well prepared.
While the view is incredible, the food left a lot to be desired. The burger was a disappointment. It was overcooked, and the patty looked prepackaged. The chicken sandwich was overcooked, and all of our fries were undercooked and lukewarm. Very disappointing! The service was average.
The deck at Sula is wonderful in the evening, even when it is a bit cool. So appreciative that our reservation was held even though we were delayed in bad traffic. Great service and menu.
