Very disappointing experience. We ordered four different vegetarian sandwiches, and unfortunately none of them were enjoyable. The sourdough bread was extremely tough and chewy, making it difficult to even take a bite. The sandwich fillings lacked flavor and didn’t come together well. The recipes could definitely use some improvement. We were looking forward to a good meal, but left disappointed.

Terrible customer service. We ordered pizza and they brought us some sandwiches and when we asked to change it to the pizza that we ordered they asked to charge it separate! Definitely only once visit but that’s the rule of restaurant in touristic area, they don’t care if you don’t come again!

Popped in right before closing to grab some pasta salad. The people were so kind and helpful, truly a gem of a place! The pasta salad was fresh and delicious! Picked out a box of tea and they were so kind to send me with some honey, too.

Great service on a busy, sunny Saturday. We got a couple of sandwiches and they were perfect. The bread was fresh and the meat seemed to be a high quality product as well. I would definately reccomend the pastrami!

I recently visited Venice Gourmet in Sausalito, and it was disappointing to see how such a popular and charming spot is being neglected.

The customer service was very poor. Employees didn’t acknowledge customers upon arrival and even refused to serve food that was clearly available. For example, they offer cheese boards, yet I was told they were out—even though all the ingredients were visible right in front of me. After questioning it, they said they could make one, just without watermelon, which was confusing and inconsistent.

From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel like they’re doing you a favor by serving you. While the food itself is good, ordering it feels like an ordeal. The employees behind the counter seem disorganized, taking a long time to decide who will take your order, and they don’t appear to know their own menu well.

It’s unfortunate, because this business has so much potential and is located in such a lovely area. The lack of attention and professionalism from the staff really takes away from the experience.

At one point, I was nearly hit by a swinging door to the bathroom when an employee rushed in ahead of me without any warning or regard for others.

I truly wish there were improvements in service, because this is an amazing spot, and their food is good. Right management and attention to customer experience, would make this place highly desirable and a must visit during your trip to Sausalito.

Pesto chicken sandwich was 4 stars clam chowder is 1 star so watered down and tasteless I have had cans better than this, Americano was good.

A bit overpriced but very solid sandwiches. I got the Italian house special sandwich, which I highly recommend -- the soup bowl was just okay by comparison. Otherwise the service was pretty fast, and the restaurant has a nice view of the waterfront.
