I finally saw Flashbird Chicken open in Scotts Valley, so I went in and ordered a chicken sandwich and a $6.00 order of waffle fries. What a joke. I got about 10 fries - undercooked. :-( unasked about them and the staff told me that was all they are allowed to give.

Service was excellent, workers were delightful. The food was marvelous, chicken was crispy and juicy, would recommend for a quick bite.

Probably the best chicken sandwich I've had in quite some time. The onion tangles were the best onion rings that I've eaten besides my own, everything scratch made down to their sauces. This is my new go to for a chicken sandwich. The 2 young men working behind the counter were both friendly and knowledgeable about their products.

The original chicken sandwich was pretty good. Albeit, quite expensive, $11.98. The chicken itself was crispy and cooked well. Shredded lettuce doesn't help making the sandwich crispy. Accomplishing sauce is very good. BYOP, bring your own fry's. $6.00 for a "basket" containing approximately 21 fry's. That's about 30 cents each. And could come to your table at room temperature. No excuse there. Cashier was helpful and polite.

Really greasy, really expensive and not worth it. I got REALLY sick after eating the deep fried mushroom. My daughter liked her chicken sandwich even though it was rather small. I'd love to give this place a second chance but I am really afraid of explosive diarrhea.

First off, you get very little for your money. Also, the chicken sandwich is soggy by the time you get it home. The staff are friendly enough but we just can't justify going back.

I feel like this place doesn’t deserve the negative reviews. Food is pretty good and it’s great to have another option in town. Service was fast and friendly. Waffle fries were a letdown but the shoestring fries

I enjoyed the food, although it was expensive. The chicken was absolutely delicious, deep-fried, flavorful and crispy. Yum! The pickles on the sandwich were good, and the fries were OK too. The main problem was the lack of tables in the shade. We were there in the late afternoon / early evening and unfortunately, the tables are on the western side of the shop. The sun shone on us directly, so much so that we had to leave before we were done eating, for fear of getting sunburnt. But otherwise I enjoyed the experience.

Would be 4 stars but pricey for what you get. I stopped in because I was curious about this new place I passed by. Looked like a fried chicken sandwich place and it is! The spicy chicken sandwich was really good as was the sauce that came with it. Only downside was with tax and $2.00 tip it was an $18.00 fired chicken sandwich with no sides or drink. I know the food business is tough, but I can't stomach the price.Parking: NA

Best spicy chicken sandwich I've ever had! The mushroom bites are addictive. Clean, visible kitchen and super friendly staff. Definitely going back.

Absolutely fantastic fried chicken sandwiches. Sometimes you do get what you pay for and here is definitely the case. Don't let review bombers scare you off. Friendly staff, great food. Easy in-and-out location. We will be back for sure!

The most expensive mediocre chicken sandwich ever made. They should reconsider pricing at this location.

Stumbled on this place this afternoon. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews. OK, yes, a little spendier than what we're used to but it was worth it for me. I had the original chicken sandwich, which includes pickles and lettuce (and sauce on the side if you want it). The chicken was well seasoned and juicy. The pickles really stood out--they looked and tasted fresh-made, plenty salty and sour but not too much. The lettuce? I don't get it. It didn't really add anything but it also didn't detract. They were out of fried mushrooms so I skipped the sides and went for drinks. They have a case with the standard canned stuff but the real treats like in their tap sodas--a root beer and a lime soda. The root beer is in the "smooth" category (as opposed to bright) and has a hint of sarsaparilla. The lime soda is like nothing I've ever had before. It tastes like fresh lime juice with just enough sugar and bubbles to make it an experience, not just a soda. It's strong so if you're a lime fan it's totally worth a taste. The service was great, the cashier and the cook were both very friendly. There is a table and chairs just outside, so there is some seating available and it's in the shade, which was nice. The price is out of my "regular stop" rang, but I will be back.

Ever heard of FLASHbird? It’s a craft fast chicken sandwich spot. I had never heard of it myself and was surprised to see it in the location. It was just out of nowhere one day, so I had to stop in.Their motto is fresh-from-scratch food designed by a chef and served in a flash. They have a very limited menu, and it’s pretty much just chicken options. They have the vegetarian option of a mushroom sandwich, and they have wraps and chicken tenders. The onion tangles were pretty good. They were dusted with a jalapeño-lime seasoning and were pretty crunchy. I also noticed that they do also serve a southern style coleslaw.I’ll definitely come back. The chicken sandwich was pretty tasty, and the onion rings as well. Not a lot of things on the menu, but if you’re craving a delicious, juicy chicken sandwich, you can definitely drop in here and get a quick one that’s healthier than the ones you get at a drive-through at a popular fast food place.

We stumbled upon this spot after going to the state park. We ordered and then saw all of the negative reviews, so we got a little worried about the quality of food we would be getting. After eating here, I am genuinely surprised people had negative things to say! There was only one girl working, she quickly took our order and got to work on our food. Everything came out fresh and fast and with a lot of dipping sauces. The food was great, we got tenders, a few sandwiches and sides of fries. It was delicious, fast and really convenient. Highly recommend stopping in for a quick bite.
