Review: Pelican Ranch Winery is hands down our favorite spot! The wines are exceptional, and Phil’s expertise really makes each tasting a delight. He crafts some of the best wine we’ve ever enjoyed.

We love visiting every weekend with our kids. Phil is always so welcoming and shares his knowledge about the winemaking process, which makes our visits even more special. The beautiful mountain scenery adds to the charm, creating a perfect backdrop for our family outings.

Our visit to the Pelican Ranch winery was motivated by hearing a group play there on a Saturday afternoon. It was a good call as the wines were excellent. A surprise was the individual pizzas known as Bronx-Style Pizza and made by the owner (Phil). Very tasty and made for a good lunch, going well with the reds.It's a modest tasting room, with a nice out-door atmosphere among the trees.Getting to this location can be a bit tricky as you follow a narrow winding and sometimes one-lane road (Bean Creek Road) in a heavily forested area. Not a lot of signage, so keep a watch for the yellow sign.

Pinot Noir is my favorite and Pelican Ranch has several that I love. Wine maker, Phil, knows these California wines very well and loves to share his knowledge. Go, it's good.

My favorite winery on this planet. Great chardonnays and pinots. The best.

The attention is excellent and the wines are the best in the area.

We just spent an extremely pleasant afternoon, sailing with Team O’Neill and sampling Pelican Ranch wines. Next time we’re in Capitola (soon), we will be visiting the tasting room and bringing a few bottles home for sure!
