The best breakfast sandwich ever! I had the Everything Bagel with ham, egg and cheese. The bagel was soft and fresh and the eggs were layered perfectly. I almost ordered another to eat later down the road. The coffee has great flavor, and they made it with the amount of cream and brown sugar I requested.I will be stopping here next time going through Scotts Valley in Santa Cruz.

This lady is unhinged! And this is a long post so if you don't want the full version - this lady doesn't like customers and stated this fact to me directly. Only go here if you want a quick and easy, mediocre breakfast to go.I got two breakfast sandwiches and my typical quad espresso with no incident. I ate, I relaxed, and I read some news on my phone. After maybe thirty minutes a customer came in and asked for a single espresso to have "for here" and an Americano "to go."She said she only does doubles, no singles. He asks why, then, she has the single espresso cups for dine-in, just as a matter of curiosity and mild confusion, and she proceeds to go into a rant.He shrugs it off and attempts to change the subject by asking what kind of coffee she is serving. She says the coffee is local, "roasted here."He says "oh, you roast your own coffee beans?!"She says "no, not here, local."He asks if the coffee has a name, like the name of the company. She says she doesn't like to tell people and proceeds to rant again.I turn around and look with a confused look on my face and make eye contact with the other customer because why would she be unwilling to disclose the source of the coffee distribution. He changes his "for here" order to be likewise to go.He comes over to me and we chat for a second about how it's odd not to want to share the name of the coffee and he tells me he comes fairly regularly, given the limited options in town, and how she is either super nice or completely unruly depending on the day. Then he gets his coffee and goes.As soon as he walks out she tries appealing to me stating "some customers just like to complain."I say "I don't think he was complaining, he just wanted to know where the coffee is from."She says "he complained right away because I won't give him single espresso."I say "I think he was just curious why you would have cups that only fit a single shot if you don't serve a single shot."She says "no, he complaining. If you complain then don't buy the coffee."I proceeded to try and evoke an understanding that whether people like or dislike the product they would have interest in knowing the brand so they either can seek or avoid it in the future. I tried a couple analogies but she held that such information could be shared with friends, not customers, and told me it's a business and I don't understand business and that she gets the beans wholesale so I can't buy them even if I wanted them unless from her because she sells them. She started yelling over the top of me as I naively attempted to help her understand our perspective so I conceited and began preparing for my exit. As I did she kept at her ranting and kept telling me customers just want to complain about everything and that she doesn't like customers, restating (almost chanting) "I don't like customers" three or four times before another customer came in and she snapped back to the pleasant version of her personality to greet the new customer.A little much for an early-day interaction as far as my preference goes.Lastly, when I logged onto Google maps to input my review, the traffic indicator, as I would refer to it, indicated the location is busier than usual by a 300% margin. I'm not sure how exactly how this metric is computed but if three customers in one hour is a 300% increase in traffic then that is likely an indication of something significant - perhaps it's the attitude.

I just wanted something really quick to eat, and to use the restroom. I really should’ve read the reviews. The service was rude, the place isn’t clean, she left my sandwich sitting there for five minutes without letting me know it was ready (then rudely called me over) and I paid $10 for one egg, an English muffin and a piece of cheese.

Came here with my friend and we ordered a chai latte and he ordered a vanilla latte. Both were bad but the chai tea late was completely undrinkable. I asked if I can exchange it for something else. The lady was shockingly hostile and argumentitive. I then asked if I could get a refund, she refused this as well. Definitely go somewhere else.

NO RESPECT FOR THE ELDERLY...Please read....my mom, sister, niece and 94 year old gramma stopped for coffee here. My mom went to order coffee and my gramma went straight to use the bathroom. Sign on bathroom door said for customers only and to order first then get the key. So my mom went to order our coffee and my gramma waited at the bathroom for the key. The lady working asked what my mom wanted to drink. My mom told her "I'd like a latte and also the bathroom keys for my mother please." The lady asked who the coffee was for. My mom proceeded to tell her she was getting the coffee but my gramma needed to use the restroom. The worker said without even looking at us "customers only." We are customers! We became confused why she wouldn't let my 94 year old gramma use the bathroom while the rest of us ordered drinks. Then the worker rudely said "you don't look happy. Go next door and get coffee there. I don't care." We asked a couple times to just buy her coffee and she refused service to us. Wow, we were all stunned. Other Customers were too. I had to walk over to my gramma who's deaf and yell in her ear the situation at hand and that we were being refused service.Mountain Mikes heard the story and gladly took my gramma in.Don't give this business your money. I don't know if the lady working there owns it but she has no respect for elderly.

Horrible coffee. Owners are nice. Breakfast is bare essentials. Good location. It's worth the drive to go elsewhere.

Bad service. Bad Vibes. Bad people. Bad place to spend money. I'm not surprised to read other reviews that reflect my family's bad experience. I pity the lady who took our order; it must be difficult to go through life with such a poor attitude as hers. I hope she finds joy in life and turns it around. But that's not your cross to bear, just drive a little further down the way and go to Pete's.

Had to give this a one star…. Don’t go here. They’ll try to add on little extra fees arbitrarily and up charge you for certain items. Then the older lady working there tried to act like it didn’t happen. I ordered an egg and cheese croissant sandwich with avocado and tomato with a small bottle of water and it came out to $16.75… there was no price list or anything indicating how much the bottle of water was but according to her math that would be about $5.50 for the water so….

I asked for a bag of light roast coffee beans... it was as dark as could be. Terrible mislabeling and a waste of money. Either the lady behind the counter doesn't understand the difference between light, medium and dark roasts, or she was just being an unethical salesperson. Really annoyed at this.

The mocha is alright. Had eggs and cheese croissant eggs were very wet. Definitely could use a cleaning. The patio firsthand thing in the morning was amazing.

Support your local coffee shop! It's a great spot with a quiet vibe, good coffee and tasty bites! Favorite combo has to be a beach bum on ice with a bacon egg and cheese dawner on a bagel
