Wasabi Sushi Scotts Valley

Do not come here for the All You Can Eat (AYCE) option, unless you have several hours to kill. The sushi is good (not the best ever but not the worst) which is why we came back - it tasted good and we liked the AYCE option... We have come here 3 times and each time, we had the same experience.

You get to order 3 rounds of sushi - as many rolls as you want each round, but you pay for a left over box at the end. Seems like a good plan... the only problem is.... the sushi takes FOREVER to come out. First time were were there, we were there over an hour and a half, second time we were there, two hours and tonight... we had enough... we left at the 1 1/2 hour point.

Patrons came in after us, and left before us by ordering from the regular menu! So, if you come, don't get the AYCE, order off the menu.

Our kid ordered a bento box and finished it before our 'round 1' had even come out. Yikes.

We ended up paying for the rolls we got and got the heck out there.... I want AYCE sushi, but not at the cost of waiting HOURS.
Either do better or don't offer this option. We won't be coming back. 3 strikes, you're out.

Food was very salty. For all you can eat there was way too much rice and not enough fish. Not satisfied.

We’ve now been here 3x with my family. Every time it’s been awesome. No wait to get in (7pm), AYCE, gyozas are my kid’s favorite, I love the mango crunch, salmon sushi, tamago, and even the California roll is done well. Staff is friendly and attentive. It is sadly hidden from the road but is a complete gem.

Incredible salmon teriyaki, very flavorfully miso soup and my dad thinks this is the best spider roll he's ever had

If you come, come with plenty of extra time, because you will wait almost 1 hour for your food or more cuz i wait for 45 min when the restaurant dont have coustomers inside.

Was super excited to try this place while visiting. I used to live here and go to sushi blossom and loved they were in the same spot. I was heart broken when I got back to my airbnb and had no soy sauce, sauces, spoon for soup, or chopsticks in the bag….it really ruined the $50 meal.

Me and my wife been coming here for many times. The food is authentic, delicious and fresh. The service is great, Japanese crew is very polite and respectful. This place is Highly recommended.

As of writing this review, I am still waiting for our round 2 of food in the all you can eat option. It has been 2 hours. If you cannot keep up with all you can eat then just don't do it? Or is this some form of idiotic strategy? I'm just hungrier now...

Go to Rumble Fish, way better and yummier experience.

Food portions were huge. Rainbow roll was like jumbo size. Great deal for money.

We loved Sushi Nana. She came out and totally pampered our 2.5 yr old daughter with extra food and taking her to play with the kitty.

Kid-friendliness: The owner said to call her Sushi Nana. She brought out the chopsticks with the rubber bands on them to help kids to use them. Also brought out bowl of broth to clean off the spicy sauce from some noodles on the ramen bowl so my daughter could eat the noodles.
