I ordered the bacon and egg breakfast sandwich, I was surprised that it was a BLT with an egg, it tasted okay but just average. The bacon was lacking flavor which was odd since it’s typically the strongest flavor in a breakfast or BLT. Maybe I struggled to wrap my head around the reality of the sandwich.

Very good food. Friendly employees. The only thing I can say they need to do is reduce the amount of fries they give you. I appreciate the generous serving, but it's way too much for one person, in my opinion. Great value!

I recently ate a chicken sandwich from this place, and the sandwich was $14 dollars, not a combo. The sandwich taste like nothing very plane lettuce chicken and mayonnaise, I was expecting something better for what it cost, better options for the price somewhere else.

I so so wanted a good brunch and thought I’d try here. Since I saw that they accept EBT I thought we go here to use up what we have left. Turn out they don’t anymore so got to call the county office to update their information. I was hungry and had stuff to do later in Seal Beach so decided to go ahead and eat here.

So Food- You go in and pick your own table, place your order at the counter and they serve it to you. We ordered a pancake and French toast special to try both. Asked for cheese on my son’s scrambled and extra crispy hash browns and neither was done. I said just give me a side of cheese and sprinkled on his eggs. I should’ve sent back the hash browns because it tasted horrible and didn’t even eat it. Put Tabasco sauce on it to give some flavor and the Tabasco sauce was very off. Pancakes didn’t taste good. I can make much better at home with Bisquick. (That sarcasm because I have a great pancake recipe that very easy and this restaurant should use it!). French Toast smelled good but nope. Bacon was not freshly made and very dried out. All together food definitely not good especially for the price! Denny’s is better!

Lastly- They decided to mop while we were eating and it smelled so bad of ammonia. Not an appeasing smell when you’re trying to eat. We finished and I decided to go to the bathroom. The floor was dry in the dining area but one step into the bathroom and I slipped and if I would’ve fallen I would’ve definitely sue! Didn’t leave the door open or fan on to help dry the floor or have a sign up. Everyone know you do that kind of mopping at the end of the night with no customers inside. You want to clean up during the day you use a damp mop (one that doesn’t smell) and spot clean. If you do fully mop, you use a dry mop behind you to dry up.

Beware of the bait and switch. Customer service was very questionable here. So we started by ordering a bacon cheeseburger combo, the woman that took our order recommended their "double cheeseburger ultimate combo special on the banner out front" It came out to the same price as the regular one so we said ok. Food came out pretty quickly, as my son started eating I noticed there was only one patty. So I went and asked about the other patty, she said she would talk to the cook. A few minutes later she came out a mentioned it was her mistake that they no longer have 2 patties, but I said it's on the banner! She said " oh it is?" Steps back, looks at banner and says " sorry that's just what the cook told me" I said ok then....I feel that for the misrepresentation of the banner and of her recommendation when ordering the least they could have done was provided the extra .75 burger patty. But guess the cost of the patty was worth more than customer satisfaction. Food wasn't that bad either.

Very dissapointed I have visited this location many times with my service animal...I was refused service here on Saturday. My service animal was under control and under the table. I showed the server the regulations and she was unwilling to accommodate me. I have been a fan of Hot Off the Grill for more than 20 years....very embarrassing and unnecessary for those of us with disabilities.

The hash browns are a half-inch thick layer of warm shredded potato with a slight crisp on either edge; both under-cooked and under-seasoned. The bowl of fruit was fairly large, but the canteloupe, which comprised most of the bowl, was entirely over-ripe and inedible, and the grapes were on the way out, about half crisp and half soft. The buttered toast and over-easy eggs were the best parts of the order. The interior seating area smelled like bathroom despite the kitchen being busy. The menus all have black duct tape over every single price, including the menus taped onto the counter. The only menu with prices is the large one on the wall, so I'm not sure why they bother handing out menus to dine-in customers. There is a large strip of what I assume used to be black rubber molding on one of the lower walls that must have fallen, and is now just old black duct tape residue. Overall there probably hasn't been any thought or effort put into the interior in a long time, and the food is a basic as you'd expect from any greasy spoon, if not sub-par. If you have to drive more than four minutes to get here, there is definitely a closer, better option.
