Claudia is the best! She always remembers our orders and she is so kind to our disabled son. The food is quick, hot and delicious. Please bring cash so you can tip the staff!

Beware of the bait and switch. Customer service was very questionable here. So we started by ordering a bacon cheeseburger combo, the woman that took our order recommended their "double cheeseburger ultimate combo special on the banner out front" It came out to the same price as the regular one so we said ok. Food came out pretty quickly, as my son started eating I noticed there was only one patty. So I went and asked about the other patty, she said she would talk to the cook. A few minutes later she came out a mentioned it was her mistake that they no longer have 2 patties, but I said it's on the banner! She said " oh it is?" Steps back, looks at banner and says " sorry that's just what the cook told me" I said ok then....I feel that for the misrepresentation of the banner and of her recommendation when ordering the least they could have done was provided the extra .75 burger patty. But guess the cost of the patty was worth more than customer satisfaction. Food wasn't that bad either.

Posted hours say they're open until 11pm. Walked in at 7:30 and was told that they're closed. Eff this place, their food is overpriced crap anyway.

No, no, no....Used to come every week. Haven't been in a while. My husband loved their pastrami sandwich and I would get the "hamburger combo" for $4.99 (burger, fries, drink). Received their flyer in the mail and thought "why not?" They no longer offered the "burger combo" so I just called and ordered a hamburger and fries to go. On the flyer it shows a burger for $4.39 and the fries for $5.99. Thought that was a lot for fries but what the heck. I was a little surprised when I went to pick up the order and the total was almost $14. When I got home I looked at my receipt and was charged $6.25 for the burger. Looked on the website and it shows a price $5.79. I know things have been going up but the flyer had an expiration date of 4/24/24. Don't send out flyers with incorrect pricing! (and correct it on the website!) Between the order and tip I gave, it was $16 for a burger and fries! OUCH.

Very dissapointed I have visited this location many times with my service animal...I was refused service here on Saturday. My service animal was under control and under the table. I showed the server the regulations and she was unwilling to accommodate me. I have been a fan of Hot Off the Grill for more than 20 years....very embarrassing and unnecessary for those of us with disabilities.

The hash browns are a half-inch thick layer of warm shredded potato with a slight crisp on either edge; both under-cooked and under-seasoned. The bowl of fruit was fairly large, but the canteloupe, which comprised most of the bowl, was entirely over-ripe and inedible, and the grapes were on the way out, about half crisp and half soft. The buttered toast and over-easy eggs were the best parts of the order. The interior seating area smelled like bathroom despite the kitchen being busy. The menus all have black duct tape over every single price, including the menus taped onto the counter. The only menu with prices is the large one on the wall, so I'm not sure why they bother handing out menus to dine-in customers. There is a large strip of what I assume used to be black rubber molding on one of the lower walls that must have fallen, and is now just old black duct tape residue. Overall there probably hasn't been any thought or effort put into the interior in a long time, and the food is a basic as you'd expect from any greasy spoon, if not sub-par. If you have to drive more than four minutes to get here, there is definitely a closer, better option.

Horrible customer service. Me and my little girl waited for almost 10 minutes before we were greeted. The food was gross, the burger patty was so thin not worth the prices. Cannot believe these people run this place and that it's still in existence.

We have been going here for years. They have a Huntington and a Seal Beach location. The food is GREAT diner food with huge portions. They have anything imaginable you could want!

Rude customer service. Overpriced mediocre food. Pass this up. Hofs Hut around corner has better food for less.

Got an Oreo Milk Shake here while I was craving something next door at the Verizon store and it just might be the best milkshake I've ever had in my life. It was massive too!!

We went to the Seal Beach Hot off the Grill for lunch on Sunday. This is the 3rd time we have left there without eating. This will be my last. There was only 2 other tables when we arrived. The server took our order fairly quickly. She brought us tea. I asked for lemon and never received any. Another table came in and sat in the booth next to us about 10 minutes or so later. We waited awhile for our food when the new table next to us got food which was our food. The Server took the food back to the kitchen and came back with the correct food for the other table. We waited a bit longer thinking she would be back with our food. The server showed up with a side of fries ( not what we ordered) and asked if we wanted anything else! When I told her what she did she just smiled and nodded that she knew what she did but didn't care.

Today Sunday 7/30/23 My family and I attempted to dine at "Hot Off The Grill" in Los Alamitos, CA and I'm compelled to share my disheartening experience. Being disabled I've always known that restaurants in California accommodate all customers with disabilities, in compliance with the law "Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)". Upon my arrival, however, I was met with surprising resistance by a verbally aggressive employee as I kindly asked to be seated, I am accompanied by a service dog, a companion who assists me daily due to my seizure disability, and is permitted by law to accompany me in all public places. The female who is pictured in the attached photo refused to give me her name and yelled "No dogs allowed" my dog wearing her "Medical Service Animal" vest and badge, regardless I kindly replied " It is a service animal" she need said " I don't care! No dogs allowed we have the right to refuse service" the customers seated all turned around including (2) Los Alamitos police officers. I then said "This is against the American Disability Act" and she aggressively replied "I don't care!" and completely refused to serve me due to the presence of my service dog, which is a clear violation of the ADA.I tried to explain the legalities and the importance of my service dog, but to no avail. This experience left me feeling marginalized and discriminated against. The staff's lack of understanding and empathy was quite disconcerting. It is my hope that this incident will serve as a learning opportunity for "Hot Off The Grill" to improve their staff training and awareness about the ADA.It is essential for businesses, particularly those in the hospitality sector, to ensure their operations are inclusive and non-discriminatory. For now, I'm left with no choice but to give "Hot Off The Grill" a low rating and make a complaint to the ADA. I urge potential customers, particularly those with special needs, to consider this incident before deciding to dine here. The restaurant's non-compliance with ADA laws not only diminished my dining experience, but also showed a significant lack of sensitivity towards those with disabilities. It is my hope that no other customer will have to experience the same.
