Average service. Shasimi pieces and the salmon roe are too too small. Avoid the Chilean Sea bass. Its too gummy and not fresh. Been eating these fish for over a decade now and I certainly know what is fresh and what is frozen for a very long time. The 6 oysters pacific and small types are good but nothing to die for. Koi is one of my favorite spots to get sushi in Long Beach and the Seal Beach area. The quality of the fish is superb and is always super fresh. They have a large sushi bar that wraps around, perfect for watching the sushi chefs create their mini works of art. The seats are very close to one another so it’s a little cramped when it’s full (so try to go on the weekday if you prefer the sushi bar and want more space).

Koi is a true gem. It's by far the best Japanese/sushi bar in the area. Excellent fresh food and knowledgeable staff. I took my girlfriend there for the first time and she said it was the best sushi she ever had by far.
