Mako Ramen

Coke and Diet Coke was flat and watered down. Looked like it’s been in the fridge first and then served. Maybe left overnight? Kind of weird. Shoyu ramen tasted sour. I couldn’t finish the broth. Meat didn’t taste of quality. A bit disappointed considering the chef was hyped up. If you’re looking for excellent ramen look elsewhere.

It was ok , I spent 27 dollars and I was not impressed

It's esp. good during chilly, cold weather. The (okonomiyaki) egg-noodle dish was tasty--would love for them to make it more Japanese style, so good!
Miso ramen was flavorful enough. Tuna on crispy rice YUM.
Poke was OK--maybe ditch the mayo & pool of soy sauce.
Service terrific. Sat 3:45 PM meal.
May Mako Ramen thrive through 2025 & 2026 (brace for it, America).

Well the ramen was great. Broth was flavorful. I didn’t encounter any of the issues or complaints from other bad reviews.

The Karage was as good as it gets. Salad has great dressing.

I would say consistency is the Key, even on slow days. That is my recommendation for the restaurant. Keep it up.

The service was quite good, but I cannot recommend this ramen. The pork is too chewy and the fat should be more melty. The pork also seems pretty flavorless. The broth wasn't rich enough. It wasn't too far off, but it needs to be richer. I can't give any feedback on the noodles, because I simply can't tell the difference. I would need a side by side comparison. Overall I wouldn't say anything I ate tasted bad, but when I compare this to my favorite spots in the area, there is plenty of room for improvement.

Wheelchair accessibility: All the tables can have wheelchairs pulled up. No booths. Freestanding tables and chairs.

I am not a Ramen expert. For me this was a great little place to have Ramen with my daughter. Clean. Kind and fast service.

Gyoza was fried well, not soggy and delicious.

We both enjoyed our Ramen. I went Spicy Miso which was the right level for white boy spicy. I loved the mochi which Is mango, vanilla, and strawberry.

Would come again. Have to see if this, or Rock'n Ramen, is better.

Parking: Right in front of the restaurant is limited. However, there are giant parking lots to support Target and other stores.

Very clean ???? Simple menu (we didn't have to spend "hours" trying to decide what to order ?) The ramen was good freshly made.
Our server was very helpful, lots of suggestions. The little added touches made it a worthwhile trip. Thanks to Chef Jose also ??. A definite must return dirt of place ?????

Parking: Busy shopping center. Parking closest to Mako Ramen can be challenging. More like a hit & miss, and hope for the best available spot.

Great new ramen place in north OC by fame Chef Mako. Flavorful ramen, simple yet pleasing decor and even Ramune for the kids. Large enough portion for self or to share and try multiple items.
