Five of us ladies go multiple times a year (any reason to celebrate). Staff is always friendly and accommodating; food is delicious and a large variety of both entrees and teas. Their press pot coffee is gourmet quality! Love this place!!!
Invited a friend for her birthday. Queen Mum's tea for her $45.00 and Lady Hamilton for myself $35.00. Very disappointed, only 1 small tray with tiny sandwiches & scones, a microscopic cupcake for her birthday. Did not expect a full meal of course but at least enough hand sandwiches and scones for 2. I was embarrassed for inviting her there. Services very slow.
Me and my other friends came to the beach to walk around and enjoy the sights. While walking we stumbled apon a small tea shop that happened to be this! The workers were absolutely amazing, kind, and polite! I got the three dessert and my friend got pink lemonade and tea sandwiches and after we left we both agreed it was the best think we’ve put in our mouths! The shop is absolutely fantastic and I recommend it to anyone who loves tea as well a a nice peaceful atmosphere
I was invited to a bridal tea party at Mckenna's this past weekend. What a delightful place to have tea and finger foods! The atmosphere was peaceful and the food was absolutely amazing. Probably the best peach mango tea I've ever had. I got hot tea on a warm day but it didn't stop me from enjoying the yummy scones with my own pot of tea. They offer a variety of tea, coffee and herbal tea. Our group went with The Royal. It's a 3 course meal of salad, soup followed by the most beautiful 3 tier arrangement of scones and an assortment of delicious desserts. I ate a lot but didn't feel heavy. We sat outdoors with a table but you can also request a sofa. Karen checked us all in and she was most helpful going over the menu. They can accommodate large parties as well as intimate party for 2. Mckenna's tea cottage is very quaint and serene. The antiques decorate the indoors as you walk in when opens up to another room and then the outdoor patio. I highly recommend coming here for a bridal party or female birthday party. You'll enjoy the views all around.
Been going there for years with my best friend. It is the best tea cottage we have ever been to it as our very favorite.
Outstanding. Service, food and ambiance. Go!!!!
Such a beautiful and cozy place to meet for tea! The food was excellent and the staff were amazing!
The server she was very nice but the scoones it was very old not fresh the sándwich also, soup it's good and veggie quiché .need more clean but ,thank you .
Got there 20 minutes early. Weren't sat at our table until 15 minutes after our reservation time. The service was nice and but didn't seem to care because they were extremely slow, it took 40 minutes to just get our tea and 30 more minutes to get our actual sandwiches, which were subpar for the price. $165 for sandwiches with hardly any filling / contents, just bread as well as cakey cross isn't sand scones. The whole place needs a clean too, the curtains are brown from age and dirt and dust is on every decoration.
I loved my time here. We got there 30 minutes early before our reservation and they sat us down immediately. The atmosphere is comforting and sweet and reminds me of home. The food was delicious and I left stuffed. I should have taken more broccoli cheddar soup and scones home with me! Service was wonderful and staff was very nice. I recommend getting there early just in case since parking can be hit or miss since it's a busy area. We will be coming back!

I’ve been here many times over the years and have always had a wonderful experience. The tea and food are delicious, the staff are super friendly and accommodating, and the whole cafe has such a cozy vibe. They even helped me throw a wonderful bridal shower for my sister, and I can’t thank them enough 💖
We came on a rainy weekday and had the place to ourselves! We enjoyed our lunch of tea and small sandwiches. The big stand out was the lemon scones!
Cozy and friendly.
Service was slow and not very friendly. Very disappointed in the tea sandwiches and desserts. Sandwiches had VERY little filling and instead of cute tea cakes or cookies we got bread pudding, coffee cake and something apple and honestly, we could hardly tell what was what. The cranberry salad and tomato basil soup were very good. The patio was cute but kind of noisy being right on Main St. Maybe a higher, solid fence would block some of the noise.
When it came time to pay, it took forever to get the check. Then we had her split the check 5 ways and since I made the reservation, and paid for the deposit, I asked her to deduct that from my portion. She said " no problem". We waited another 10 minutes to get our cards and receipts and she didn't split it properly. Very frustrating. When paying $30-50/person, I expect better overall in service and food. Will not come back.
Service is awful and they’re rude. But the scones and clotted cream and jam are so delicious I keep coming back.
