The food and pastries are fantastic. We had a young waiter that could use some additional mentoring and seasoning. Don't sit on the patio if you're looking for a quiet respite. Instead sit in the rear dinning room that only has one speaker and is much quieter.

This was our second time at this cute and quirky restaurant. It appears to be an old Denny’s and while the exterior hasn’t changed much the interior is clean, bright and pleasant. Some of the little touches are class napkins and they hand print their logo on their to go bags. Pancakes are fluffy and massive. The club sandwich is large and tasty. A surprise was the shrimp tacos which were well flavored and served with a good serving of fresh guacamole. I can’t wait to be in Sea Beach again so I can eat here.

Well, the food was good. We were sitting by the kitchen and noticed a few orders got sent back because they were incorrect. Also, it took about 40 minutes to get our food and the plow place wasn’t very crowded. We only ordered a breakfast sandwich and two eggs so for 40 minutes that is quite expensive

My sandwich was beyond horrible, I almost thought A place like this would actually use real eggs. Instead of foam egg mix to be honest I didn’t eat it. The price for that sandwich 😢.

I live in Seal Beach and have been going to the restaurant almost religiously once a week for the last several months. I sit at the counter, I’m in and out quickly and tip very well every time. I’ll add quickly that the food is good diner food, no complaint there. The problem is the service and specifically the head cook. They have a breakfast called the day break. It’s $17 or &18 and comes with eggs, bacon and two large pancakes. The pancakes are huge and most people can only eat one. If you’d like to order 1 pancake ala cart it’s $7. If you’d like to order hash browns Ala cart it’s $7. Every time I’ve come in there has been no problem making an even substitution for 1 pancake for hash browns. I was the only person at the counter today and there were only 2 other tables taken in the front dining room. The place was essentially empty. When asked by my the waiter to make the even substitution, the head cook bluntly said no and that’s that. Absolutely absurd and terrible service. What’s the rationale? No where does it say ‘no substitutions’. Your head cook has a terrible attitude and the rigidity against making a simple even substitution is frankly shocking. You lost a customer and any further recommendations. Plenty of other breakfast spots that are as good or better in our friendly community.

It was a mom and pops. Well cooked hole in the wall restaurant that I'd recommend to everybody.

This restaurant is a standout choice for breakfast. Although it was busy when I arrived, I was seated immediately without any wait. Ordered a Cappuccino the Daybreak Special, which included exceptionally large and delicious chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and bacon. The food overall was fresh, flavorful, and consistently good. Service was quick and attentive throughout the meal. A solid and enjoyable breakfast experience.
