The Hangout Restaurant & Beach Bar

I was debating between 2-3 stars for the overall experience, and it's not the worst place, but I would not recommend this restaurant to others. The food was good, but the atmosphere is loud, and rushed. If you're told your wait is 30 minutes, expect to wait over an hour. This could be a nice place for a party of two, but you won't be able to hear each other speak, and you might leave with a headache from the noise. They have plenty of space in the back, but shove everyone into the front of the restaurant. Not the best place for parties larger than two. I regret coming here and waiting so long when there are plenty of other choices with service that's not as frantic and rushed.

I have eaten here multiple times on account of my friends. Personally I have not enjoyed anything from their menu. The pesto pasta is very mid, I could make better at home. I've had the chicken sliders and the chicken meal with mashed potatoes and it screamed for seasoning. The fries are pretty decent but the acutal food is extremely average. I added barbaqur sauce to the dry unseasoned tasting chicken which only made it worse. The barbecue sauce tasted burnt and smokey. The burned flavor of the sauce was reminiscent of cooking disasters at my own home. Any store bought sauce is more pleasing than the odd stuff they served here. Mid American food. All of the servers were very pleasant and the food service was reliably fast.

Great spot for locals and visitors to meet! Daily specials are an excellent bargin! Everyone is friendly with a view of the pier across the street!

5 stars – A Perfect Beachside Breakfast Experience :)

I had breakfast at The Hangout with a friend, and we were both absolutely thrilled with the experience. We each had omelettes, which were delicious – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.

The service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly attentive and friendly, always making sure our coffee and water were refilled without us even having to ask. It’s rare to feel that well taken care of these days!

And then there’s the location – just stunning. The restaurant is right on the beach, with a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere that made us want to stay for hours. You can enjoy great food with the view of the ocean in the background – what more could you ask for?

The jalapeño hamburger was too big to manage eating it without the bread falling apart, part of my hamburger bun ended up on the floor. The margaritas were good and service was OK. Rachel was nice but we felt rushed by her to leave when we wanted more drinks.

Cool place good food, good vibe, and prompt service. The hostess wasn't very pleasant, bad day or something but the rest of staff was kind and made you feel like you have been there dozens of times. Place will be open for sometime with the atmosphere there. Kids, elders to the middle age, and teenagers, this place is for everyone. If you can't find something you like, go take a long walk off a short pier, nothing will make you happy. Great burgers, FYI, slightly high priced but well worth it for sure and the onion ring tower with sauces is fire! NO EBT fools!

Allie the bartender and her bar-back were uber helpful and quick to refill my drinks and were keen to anticipate what was coming next.

Parking: I rode my beach cruiser and there was a bike rack right out front.
