It's been over a decade since my last visit and I knew that I would one day be back. A long history of excellent seafood and wine makes this restaurant a keeper. It was so clean it sparkles! Turns out, it's been closed for 18 months due to a fire so it's all new but with the same vibe as before. The chowder is fantastic as I remembered. The Mahi Mahi sandwich outstanding as well as the fish and chips. We stopped on our way home to San Diego from LA. I want to go back for dinner for a real treat.

Seal Beach staple, refreshed. Walt’s Wharf mixes a polished new look with seafood that hits the spot—especially the oysters, clam chowder with some of those warm rolls. Yum!

Have been going to Walt’s Wharf for many many years and just went to try it after their reopening. We were sat in the bar area and had one of the worst waitresses I’ve had in a long time. Literally ignored us and then when we finally got her attention and put in an order, took her about 15 minutes, just to simply get us water. Then when the food finally arrived, my pork chop was way overcooked and not very tasty and my girlfriend salmon was way undercooked had to send it back and instead of replacing the dishes as they should, they simply refresh it and brought it back. They obviously have some work to do, especially on their service.

We ordered a cup of chowder, the fish and chips and the stuffed salmon. The chowder was delicious, not too creamy with plenty of clams. The F&C had a funky flavor that my wife likened to spoiled fish. Not sure what it was but I would definitely not order it again. The salmon was delicious but unfortunately it was just lukewarm so all in all, the food was a disappointment. As an aside, the remodel came out great as the place looks terrific.

The newly restored & beautifully remodeled Walt's Wharf reopened in Seal Beach this week! Our waitress, Jennifer, was outstanding! She was friendly, and in tune with every need we had. Compliments to the chef for the famous grilled artichoke a & delicious lunch. Thank you to the Babcock family for your efforts and commitment to Walt's Wharf and this community.

The Peruvian ceviche was unfortunately bland and dry, and the fish tacos also lacked flavor. We ordered a dozen oysters, and one of them was bad — the taste was so unpleasant I had to eat a lemon slice to get rid of it. We did order the mud pie and that was delicious! The service was excellent. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly the highlight of our visit.

Your app allowed us to make a reservation at Walt's Wharf when it was not even open for business yet. It was embarrassing because it was a birthday celebration. I would hope in the future the app would know that a business was unavailable. And Open Table confirmed our reservations twice .. Very disappointing!! Please update the app to reflect the opening for Walt's Wharf.
