Stop here for dinner and was met with such kindness.I ordered the Tom Kha with chicken, fried spring rolls...so good. And since I still had room ordered the bread pudding with green tea ice cream. The best food I've had in Monterey.

The spicy catfish is AMAZING. GETTING that AGAIN! The warm bread pudding with coconut ice cream is ALSO AMAZING. Going back several times before I leave Monterey area!

Good food, great and friendly service. Small restaurant but big on customer service! (if you’re expecting Thailand / Bangkok street food quality you’ll be disappointed, but it’s tasty tho, I just have high standards for food)

The service is excellent. It's been awhile since I ate here. The taste was not as good as before and price has jump quite a bit.

I ordered the Tai Spicy Red Curry with chicken.
And this place did not disappoint 🌶️🤯😋
Try it, if you like Really Hot 🥵 dishes
We were so impressed with the service, everyone was so nice and accommodating to us and our baby. They had a nice twist to the traditional pad Thai I’ve had in the past. I got the level 2 spicy and my husband got a 3 on his curry. Mine had more of a kick than his. But they have a variety of add ons that were nice to try.

Everything was so fresh ! The service was friendly and very attentive. There is one outside table for dog parents (or at least that we could see). The location is not directly on the street, so keep looking if you can’t find it. The plants around the restaurant are very nice and well maintained.

Authentic Thai Food That Even Impressed My Dad (Who Lived in Thailand!)
I came here with my 82-year-old father who’s traveled the world and even lived in Bangkok for a time. He’s always been on the hunt for truly authentic Thai food—and we both agreed, this place nails it!
From the first bite of the papaya salad to the last sip of Thai tea, everything was fresh, flavorful, and bursting with that real Thai taste. We ordered the red curry and green curry, both packed with rich spices and perfect texture. But be warned: the spice level is no joke! We thought we could handle level 3 (we eat kimchi regularly!)… and we were humbled. I’d recommend starting with an appetizer to test your spice tolerance.
The staff are incredible—kind, welcoming, and so genuine. You can tell they care about both the food and the people they serve. It felt like visiting a friend’s home, not just a restaurant. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!
Best Thai food around and the staff was so friendly! You HAVE TO try the won ton soup. It’s better than anywhere else. And don’t be boring and go with pad Thai. They have so much to choose from with their extensive menu of stir fry’s , curries salads and soups.
Baan Thai is one of my favorites! I really enjoy the customer service and hospitality. Many of the dishes have the ability to select how spicy you would like them. I go for the 3 most of the time.
Good location, decent dining room, fantastic service. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai just wasn't very good. Underseasoned, no lime or peanuts. My partner had a rice dish, and felt a similar way. Will try again in a few weeks and update this review. Am always looking for a decent Thai spot, but this just wasn't good enough to justify the cost.
