Get the Gobernador de Camaron shrimp tacos. They are phenomenal. Probably the best shrimp tacos I've ever had. Pair them with a ceviche and you have the perfect lunch.
Service was great and the place is small with a quaint home feel to it.

Great hole in the wall Baja style Mexican seafood. I got the taco trio: gobernador, consentido, and Baja fish tacos. All were fantastic. Friends got the green aquachile and it was great too.

We had a great lunch here today. Had the shrimp & octopus cocktail which was very fresh and flavorful. Also got a taco trio plate as well as a shrimp burrito and an agua fresca. Everything was delicious. Will definitely dine here again.

I had my first seafood stew here, I’ve been wanting to try it and it didn’t disappoint at all! Huge, very generous portion full of different seafood, even two big crab pieces. Lovely staff too.

The food is always good but the service is terrible. I went there today and couldn’t even get a class of water in 30 minutes, the waitress forgot to put my order in then wanted to be rude when I asked about it. I ended up leaving. Get better servers

This place made my week. The food was outstanding and was full of flavor. I told how great the Latino community was here and there’s nothing greater than proving your wife wrong. She had the octopus and she couldn’t have been happier. I had the taco sampler and it was just like my friends abuella used to make for me in Seaside. Great service and an amazing chef. The nachos and pico de gallo were fantastic too. I highly recommend anyone go to Barba Azul. It also has an amazing drawings on the wall. It’s great for the family or a date night. It’s also easy to access from Monterey with the bus line. I’m coming back for sure. Anyone who gave this place less than a 5 star review is a terrorist and should be jailed.
