whatever you do, DO NOT order the Chicken Curry. I literally had to throw away because of the amount of salt that went into this dish. I don't have that issue, but if you have high blood pressure, this will kill you and I am neither kidding nor exaggerating
Super yummy food and friendly staff
The real deal! Gotta come back and explore the menu, Ferdi's gone but the legend remains, CREOLE! These spices bring back light and really love! Not a fast food pickleria!
I heard these sandwiches were good, but it really wasn't. It was like a boring cafeteria sandwich. Plus, they had drinking glasses proudly displayed with the word "Jigger" on them, which made me uncomfortable. Maybe that was what made me hate the sandwich.
Closed but looked interesting enough to stop ? by sometime and give them a try.
Perfectly preserved from 1988, there's no denying this place is legendary. Brown tiles, faded business cards, comics so worn you can't find the punchline. Check it out before it's gone!My muffuletta had that '88 flavor, too. Although my meat was cut to order, the ham showed some signs of discoloring. I wasn't expecting pimento cheese, and the olive tapenade didn't hit right. A relic, with not too much future ahead.
Good stuff here
Excellent and tasty food, I loved the ambience the place has, and the employees were welcoming. I will surely come back.
Blackened chicken, pepper steak, and vegie sandwich are my favorites. Burgers on Friday always cooked to order. Dine in, take out available. Cash only. If you are in a rush, call ahead!
great cajun food and fresh deli sandwiches and homemade milkshakes

I first met Tom and Gail in the early 1980's, as they would come and watch a band I played in then (The Late Show). I began going to Ferdi's then and loved the menu, the vibe and the milkshakes. I am sad to learn that Tom is working alone now after losing Gail. I left the Monterey Pensinula in 1990, but always return there to eat whenever I am in town. I will be back this September (2020) and am already trying to decide if I will order red Beans & Rice, or their spicy BBQ Beef Sub. Both go great with a milkshake. See you soon Tom!! The Cajun food there is the BEST!!
love the nachos. first time going
creole here - very good. Filled me up in no time. Certainly worth a return visit. Menu is like a cafe in Boston I loved.
