The pepperoni pizza was delicious. Lots of pepperoni topping while the crust wasn't too thick. The Italian salad that I got was disappointing. I paid $4 more for salami but it wasn't cut into strips like previous photos. They were round and not what I expected . The red onions overpowered the taste and smell of the salad. I'd skip it next time but would definitely get another pizza or two.

Food was ok. Meat was a little dry but still tasty. Spaghetti carbonara were good too, but nothing roo crazy. For the prices listet, a bit expensive. If price does not matter to you, good place. Ambiente however is not very

2nd time here and the food is as good as the first time. We drove from San Francisco for Valentine’s just so we can eat here and did not disappoint! The octopus appetizer literally was like butter! Never had any like it before! Super Yummy!Update- came down again 2/10/24 and food is still amazing! Had the eggplant parm and custard for dessert and it was delicious! ?

Fabulous hand crafted pastas and wood fired pizzas baked right in front of you. Delicious.Dietary restrictions: I have celiac disease and was happy with salad selection as well as gluten free pasta as an option (though I did not try it)

Excellent food & very traditional Italian style. Only reason for less than 5 stars was the portion size - a little small for my large appetite ?. Would go again next time we stay over in Monterey Bay.

Went there for our anniversary dinner & I must say the service is exceptional! It was a last minute reservation and they still managed to make it special for us with a complimentary dessert - which btw was exceptionally delicious!Vegetarian Pizza was okay but their artichoke ravioli was oh-so-good!

Stopped by Gusto's on our way back to SF from Big Sur. It was dinner time and around closing hours so the place was not as crowded. We were seated promptly and ordered Ravioli Short Rib & Pizza Carnivora. Both the items were fantastic. In fact we placed another order of the pizza to go and devoured it once we got back to SF. We also tried their Tiramisu and it was delicious. They get some house bread and that was fab. Service was good and food was tasty. Ample parking in the area. All in all a great italian spot in the area.

Great Italian place, the staff is friendly and attentive. The fresh pasta is great. The fettuccine with chicken was a standout. The pizza is fantastic as well.

Nice to see a gourmet-level restaurant that isn't unaffordable. Terrific food and highly professional staff. We were staying at the motel next door (Sand Castle Inn - low-cost but also highly recommended) and ate here more than once. Will definitely go back when we're in Monterey again.Vegetarian options: We had two kinds of vegetarian pizza and they were both delectable. Pro-tip: drizzle the tapenade that comes with the bread on top of the pizza.

I may be different, but finding more Italian places are adding sugar to tomato based recipes. I know this is popular with some, but I find it a poor excuse for not creating the rich, savory sauces that are fun without sugar!
