I have always liked the restaurant, however I went there last night and was extremely disappointed. First they said they were completely out of wine. What restaurants runs out of wines? They only had plum wine, beer and saki. Since I’m a wine drinker these other options were not my choice. I ordered a spider roll which is a soft shell crab roll the roll was mostly a creamy imitation crab with mayo and I had to look for the soft shell crab. The small amount was hard and not edible. My husband order steak teriyaki combo dinner and the meat was over cooked. We also had maguro sashimi which looked and taste like it was frozen. I probably will never go back to this restaurant and it is not what it used to be to be. Unless changes are made, I do not recommend going there.
Used to be my favorite local sushi spot.

The service at Sushi Time was excellent—the staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t quite meet expectations. The gyoza tasted like it may have been previously frozen and reheated, and the spicy tuna roll had a blended texture that wasn’t very appealing. The tempura was also somewhat bland and lacked the crisp flavor I was hoping for.
Overall, great staff but the dishes could use improvement in freshness and flavor

We had a very lovely dinner. The waitress was very kind. The food came out quick. The sushi was phenomenal. On top of everything we were happy with the price. We got 4 different specialty rolls including the Batman and samurai roll, and they were all very tasty. We will be coming back.

My boyfriend and I get food here often and have always enjoyed it! Great people, great customer service, and great food. The few times I’ve had any issue with a roll it was taken care of immediately and staff has always been kind. Thank you for being a part of our community!

This is the BEST sushi around town! Our favorite place to go for our family dinners. Sushi is on point! Staff is great! Even when it’s full we don’t wait a long time & chefs are quick. Highly recommend this place.

We're on a road trip and didn't want to eat at a touristy restaurant. I'm really glad I trusted the reviews because this place was very good and friendly.

Sushi Time is a MUST visit spot if you live near or are visiting Seaside!! The service is great and the food is top tier. Not only does it taste delicious, but the chef makes sure it all looks perfect. They've recently had some renovations and the space looks so nice and clean. I always make sure to visit every time I'm in Monterey.

The waitress was very attentive. The food was amazing. They have the best miso soup I've had. The sushi rolls were delicious and large. The terriyaki chicken was served on a sizzling platter. My picky son loved the katsu chicken. Definitely will be back!

Visited this place and oh boy what a huge disappointment. No happy hour specials so ordered from the menu their 2 item dinner combo and a yellowtail roll. I knew I was in trouble when the rolls were the smallest rolls I’ve ever seen. 6 pieces with the diameter of a quarter and less than a centimeter thick. $8. I knew I should’ve stopped my entree order but decided to stay. What a huge mistake. The rice was the size of a regular size ice cream scoop. The shrimp and vegetable tempura might’ve been reheated from Costco and the teriyaki beef was tough barely chewable beef drenched in sauce. $24. If you’re looking for decent Japanese food go visit harumi down the street. This place was overpriced and severely underwhelming.
