The asian in me made me order their breakfast fried rice, perhaps this wasn't their best dish. While there is a bite of bacon and/or sausage on every fork, their rice was rather soggy and sad. The service was outstanding, this place is a well ran machine. I can during their weekend rush, there was a line, but the wait wasn't long, I was promptly seat and I didn't have to wait long for my order, their customer service was too notch, they attended to my every need, kudos to the staff!

Chicken in the chicken and waffles arrived dry, stale and underwleming. Discovered a hair under it. Margarita was acidic and I had a hard time drinking it. Waitress got defensive when I asked if there was a wi-fi password.

If you’re not eating at The Butter House, what are you even doing with your life?
From the moment we sat down, the service was on point—friendly, fast, and the kind of people who look like they know they’re serving greatness.
Now let’s talk about the food because WOW.
The French toast? Absolutely to die for. Like, if I had to choose one last breakfast on Earth, it’s that. Fluffy, buttery, slightly crispy on the edges… basically a warm hug from the carb gods.
We also dove into the pork belly fried rice, which was so good I had to take a moment of silence. Perfectly savory, crispy bits of pork belly, and flavor for days.
And then the breakfast burrito with chorizo and jalapeño came along and said, “Hold my plate.” Spicy, flavorful, stuffed to the brim—honestly the burrito equivalent of a mic drop.
If you want a breakfast that slaps you awake in the best way possible, get yourself to The Butter House ASAP.

The waffle wasn’t great, kind of doughy and soft like a dry pancake. Aren’t waffles supposed to be kind of crispy and then fluffy in the middle? Service very good!

I’ve been here a few times since relocating back to Pacific Grove. I love this place. The food is great and the staff are incredibly friendly. I especially enjoy the sandwiches and the biscuits with SOS gravy.
