Loved everything that was brought to our table. Very pleasantly surprised. Our server was friendly and efficient. The chicken main course was off the hook good. Loved it.
I had a salad niscoise. I think the tuna had seendisappointment. My digestive system got rid of it ASAP. Such a disappountment. The wine list of bubbles was divine. Our service was adequate.
Tasty and unique flavors, perfect portions, in a warm, aesthetic, lively and comfortable atmosphere
Food was fantastic
Great restaurant and selection of dishes. Very well presented. Excellent service. Beetroot salad and crab ravioli were stand out.
This place has beautiful decor and atmosphere. The food is great and service top notch. We love Goldfinch!!
Goldfinch boasts stunning presentation, particularly the house-made Dungeness crab raviolo (5 stars visually). However, the flavor of the raviolo didn't impress, lacking distinction, and the slimy, warmish texture wasn't appealing. The grilled zucchini and burrata with sourdough were good, though the zucchini's sourness was unexpected. The fire-roasted beets with yogurt and pistachio were a standout, highly recommended for their delicious flavor combination.
Try the calamari! Best!
Everything there is awesome!
Great decor. Food was average and too high priced for what it was. Entrees were brought out before we'd even finished a shared starter.
We were disappointed to find out that the crab ravioli—one of the restaurant’s five main dishes—was already unavailable by 7pm on a Friday night. We specifically chose this restaurant because I was looking forward to trying that dish, but we adjusted and ordered something else when told it was no longer available. However, it was frustrating to see another order of crab ravioli served while we were having dessert, especially since we were seated at the chef’s counter and could see all the dishes coming out. It was disappointing to feel that an exception was made for someone else after we had already been told it was unavailable.

Would absolutely eat here again! The food was divine, and the chefs cooking in the open kitchen were absolutely amazing. The chef was very kind, and more helpful than the server was in terms of the dishes. The pork and the swordfish are delicious, as well as the ahi tuna and ceviche.
To be fairly honest host was unhelpful. When we called to make reservation, she had said there wasn’t one. We booked a table online instead, which is surprising. When we arrived she wasn’t very inviting either. Anyways, woman who served us didn’t introduce herself, and barely spoke to us during the meal, and wasn’t very friendly throughout the meal. Our waters were never refilled, nor was our plates removed promptly when we finish our dishes. It didn’t effect our experience, however I think the owners should know that their front of house staff may need to be reminded that being friendly and inviting does a lot to make the experience overall enjoyable. When you are paying $200+ for a meal, the service should be just as important as the food.
The food was the only reason I will return.
Sweet staff, GREAT coffee !
5 stars for Goldfinch. Booked a table during SC restaurant week and the 3 of us were blown away by the delicious meals accompanied by the most flavorful sauces! We were equally impressed by the beautiful decor, esthetic and smiles and service by Brenda! We've been dying to check out this restaurant since it opened, but as Guerneville locals we don't get out much. 🤣🍽
Great food, service was not so great
Goldfinch features beautiful decor and a great ambiance, though it can get a bit noisy.
What We Ordered:
Fire-Roasted Beets (11/10) – A standout dish! The caramelized yogurt, pistachios, and quick-pickled onions created a perfect balance of flavors and textures.
Grilled 10oz Angus Hanger Steak (9.0/10)
Well-prepared and shareable. The potato pavé and grilled broccolini complemented the steak beautifully. The gratin was good. Don't burn it too much, ha ha
I’d suggest serving the red wine shallot reduction lightly on the plate with extra on the side.
Chocolate Cake (9.5/10) – The white chocolate ganache was smooth and indulgent, but the hazelnut crunch was a bit too hard for my taste.
Ginger Turmeric Mocktail (9.5/10) A vibrant, flavorful drink. Reducing the amount of ice would allow the bold flavors to shine even more.
Goldfinch delivers an elevated dining experience with bold flavors and thoughtful pairings. A few minor tweaks could make it even better, but overall, it's a place worth revisiting!
