I highly recommend ordering a few appetizers and mains to share to help balance all the different flavors. The hangar steak, calamari, and pull-apart focaccia are all must-haves! Looking forward to visiting Goldfinch again the next time we’re in town.

The wife & I decided on a spur of the moment lunch & drove from Sacramento over to Sebastopol to try this spot. What a find! We shared some awesome grub, enjoyed the fabulous ambiance, and enjoyed our great server, Nick! Such a perfect adventure - we're planning to come back for a Happy Hour night some Friday and then just stay the night for fun. Thank you, Nick & the Goldfinch team, for making our day!

We had our first visit to Goldfinch after hearing good things about it from a number of our friends and had a fantastic experience. The hostess and our server were friendly, accommodating and helpful including some great recommendations from the menu. The food was imaginative, creatively plated and delicious and the overall ambiance and feel of the dining room made for a wonderful date night!

This was our first time at Goldfinch and we were very excited to go and I'm sad to say, the whole evening was disappointing from start to finish. We were celebrating a birthday - something I let them know ahead of time - and there was nothing done at all. Not even a candle to make the birthday person feel special. Why tell me they would do something when they don't?? As for the food, it was very hit and miss. Some dishes - the beets, the carrots and the bread, were really good. The rest - the hangar steak, caesar salad, ahi tuna, were not good at all. The ahi tuna was fishy. And several dishes were way over salted. And lastly, the service was VERY subpar. Our waitress was slow, never made suggestions, never offered us a second cocktail (we all wanted one - missed sales for them) and overall was fairly unfriendly. Needless to say with all the good restaurants in Sonoma County, we will not be back.

We really loved the old K & L Bistro so in 2024 we went to see what the new owners had down with the place. It was kind of a mixed bag. The new decor lacks the warmth that I like. Service was a bit spotty but okay. The menu did not not appeal to me but my wife like the selections. She loved her fish I was underwhelmed with the pork chop and we both loved the halibut ceviche and focaccia pull apart.the Etna Rosso wine was tasty.

We love Goldfinch and have had many great experiences there. This time was not the same. The service was slow and lacking and our server was not the usual Goldfinch type. She was less friendly, definitely not helpful with wine selection, and just generally inattentive. We won't let this experience keep us away though. We'll be back!
