Beautiful view from the outdoor tasting counter, lovely people, and great wines!

This one is off the road and a bit hard to find if you don't have good directions or maps. It's well worth it if you are wanting to relax and take your time with a glass of wine as the view here is excellent. We were as excited by the wines ourselves but if you are in the mood for softer wines or light sparkling wines this could be perfect for you.

Tremendous views! However service was awful and the wine was worse. You are better off getting bottles in the grocery store. Also for the tasting area, they were trying to be fancy but not offering chairs is just cheap.

What an awesome place! This little gem is definitely a must if your in the area! All of the sparkling was phenomenal especially the Joy! The staff was knowledgeable and the views are awesome! I'm looking forward to going back!

I had the pleasure of attending a tasting at Iron Horse during my daughter's Bachelorette Party. Kevin was knowledgeable and personable and each of the gals enjoyed the variety of cuvee sampled and the entire experience!
I would highly recommend a stop at Iron Horse Winery during your time in Sonoma!

We’ve been club members at Iron Horse for almost three years and never regret it. One of our favorite vineyards to visit. Amazing views, fantastic staff, great sparklings and reds. Unfortunately, not dog friendly.

We never skip Iron Horse while in Sonoma!!! One of the best tasting experiences I’ve ever had!Such a tasty assortment of wines; I love a set with some bubbly !! There’s a rich history here too, ask them about when the president drank some of the wine! You couldn’t ask for a more lovely setting. I recommend doing the tasting then heading over to the picnic tables and having an extra glass !

Wow! The winery is so gorgeous and the wines just below us away. Tanner took great care of us and made Iron Horse our favorite winery stop on our honeymoon! Highly recommend.

Absolutely fabulous sparkling wine maker just outside Santa Rosa. This was our first visit and we were so happy to be introduced to their delicious sparkling wines. We had a wonderful tasting room host in Danae and enjoyed our time. Make sure to have a reservation and make sure to ask about the history of this winery and their link to the White House. Beautiful setting - beautiful wine. Can’t go wrong.

Read amazing reviews about their 4pm Friday tasting and, sadly, was disappointed. The winery is lovely and one to try if you like champagne, but it's hit or miss when it comes to the person pouring your wine if they'll interact with at all. We had to ask them for the story of the winery (and never did find out why it's called iron horse), and was told the bare bones about the wines. Next to us, a group was treated to a much more detailed discussion about the wines, what paired well with them, and so forth. Out of the several wine tastings in the past couple of days, this one was the most disappointing.

Magnums tasting was amazing. Wonderfully friendly and informative staff. Beautiful location with amazing views

We are club members here and can not recommend it more highly. The bubbles are delicious, the location is beautiful and the tasting room staff are top notch. And this is a winery that still is owned by the family that started it, not a mega liquor conglomerate. Every time we come here we have a great time. We tried the magnum tasting for the first time this weekend and it was probably the best wine tasting experience we have had in Sonoma County; well worth paying a bit extra to experience their best bottles, with tasty bites, in a private lovely setting.

Very nice wines, friendly people and great views. That's all really good. Major fail: NO SEATS! You are standing for an hour. If I had known that, I would have booked somewhere else. This was not the right fit for our party, which included three over 60. They did finally bring a stool for my 75YO uncle, and we probably would have left if they did not. IHV should buy more stools, or make it clear to people what to expect IMO.
