Our visit to the beautiful winery with its spectacular wines and view could not have been more enjoyable. Our host, Diane, was both knowledgeable and congenial. We can’t wait to return.

This is an exceptional winery, with outstanding bubbles, views and warm hospitality. Our host, Carl, consistently provides attentive and personalized service. As a regular visitor, I can confidently say that among the 380 wineries in Sonoma, this one is truly worth experiencing and joining their club, so you can come back any time to enjoy some time and great wine with friends.

First visit in 1999, second in 2025. Still the same amazing and unique tasting experience in the best venue. Above the vineyard with epic views and no other tasting or tour experience comes close.

Iron Horse Winery is an absolute gem nestled in the stunning Russian River Valley hills. From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed with breathtaking views and a peaceful ambience that perfectly sets the tone for an unforgettable tasting experience.

The wines? Incredible. The Pinot Noirs are elegant, balanced, and bursting with character — easily some of the best I’ve ever had. And the sparkling wines? Simply phenomenal. Each sip is crisp, vibrant, and expertly crafted. Whether you’re a longtime wine lover or just discovering the beauty of Sonoma County wines, Iron Horse delivers on every level.

What truly made the experience exceptional was the hospitality. Tanner was warm, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. And meeting Joy, the owner, was such a treat — her passion for the winery shines through in everything from the wines to the atmosphere. Both made the experience feel personal and memorable.

This place is a must-visit. Beautiful wines, wonderful people, and a setting that feels like a slice of wine country heaven. Can’t wait to come back!

I read a lot of winery descriptions for our visit to the area. The description of “relaxed bubbles” couldn’t be more accurate for Iron Horse. This was the most amazing start to our Saturday morning (10am) tour. Highly recommend a sunny morning visit to Iron Horse.

Great place for wine tasting alone or with friends and family. Especially if you’re outside tasting on a warm day. I love the water mist at the bar and the cold bubbles served by knowledgeable and chill staff, who seem like they are right at home. Club membership recommended for those who share a liking in good reds and bubbles. Love it! 🥂❤️

Beautiful setting with a relaxed, informal vibe. The sparkling wine tasting was phenomenal, and it’s great that you can bring your own snacks. Excellent value for the experience!

We had a beautiful Monday afternoon at the winery. Our host, Gracen, was delightful and could match our since humor. We never felt rushed, so we meandered around enjoying the different views between tastings. They have a beautiful vineyard and it was a lovely afternoon at a very reasonable price. We did the tasting of still wines 🍷😋👍🏻

Iron Horse was the perfect way to kick off a long birthday weekend of wine tasting! The view was spectacular, staff was very friendly and the wine was delicious!

This is one of our favorite wineries to taste at. The location is gorgeous and the sparkling wines are incredible. We used to be wine club members and I miss our regular shipments. It may feel out of the way but it really isn’t. It’s definitely worth it to make a tasting reservation to enjoy some sparkling wine on the property. Another bonus is that they waive the testing fee if you purchase 3 bottles.
