A staple in the area, yet I had never been! Even though their apple pie is the star, don't sleep on their other offerings. We also got blackberry pie, peach pie, and chocolate cream pie. All were a hit! Staff is sweet and helpful.
I bought an apple, blackberry, and raspberry pie. I asked the salesperson which was more tart, the cherry or raspberry. She answered the raspberry. It tasted quite tart with a slight sweetness. It's the perfect pie for someone looking for a fresh flavor without so much sugar. It has hints of lemon juice and the filling is well blended, no seeds, no chunks. Just a “slice” of heaven!! A must stop when traveling on Route 116. Mom has pies and turnovers and did I say “pies! Big plus is her chest freezers with same “frozen” pies and Straus organic ice creams… Super clean and homey atmosphere. Will never pass by without stopping. Two different pies daily are by the slice, so no excuses.
