This place really is the best. I go every week. closed on monday's so when you need that tikka masala fix - plan ahead. Everything on the menu is great. My kids like the chicken momo because it's not spicy. They also have amazing rice dishes on all sorts of sizzling platters. their tandori's are also great. Highly recommend this place if you are in Sebastopol.
We've been going here for years, the food is always good. Sit on porch or insidr, good servicr
I order the lunch special and that is incredible. Words aren’t enough to describe this place.
Best food in town . Were repeat customers 👍
I love this restaurant, the food is amazing, the servers are always nice, food comes out fast and hot from the kitchen, really nice ambiance. My favorite is the malai kofta (pictured), omg 😍 I also love their chai, paneer, and momos. Definitely my favorite Himalayan food in Sebastopol.
I decided to leave a review because I was surprised by the recent reviews before mine. I have been here many times and the food is reliably excellent.
Also noticed today they have a large private dining room for events or gatherings.
Unfortunately the food was really quite bad. Butter chicken was like half chicken skin, chickpeas not fully cooked in Chana Masala, and some truly rubbery naan. Portions are okay, service was fine for takeout. Go to Himalayan Tandoori instead.
I placed an online order for my family of 12 people around 4 PM the other day and they open at 5 PM. The pickup time I requested was 5:30PM.
Around 4:45 PM I got a call from someone at the restaurant saying that they’re going to need more time to fill the order (which is totally reasonable) but they said that the order wouldn’t be ready till 7:30 PM. They said the reason for this is because they had some other online orders that they needed to fill, but that if they worked on our order it would put them behind for other orders. I don’t believe they had so many orders before they even open that they couldn’t start our order when they opened, but it was clear that they wanted to have kitchen capacity for dining, in addition to other takeout orders. Pushing pick up almost 2 hours seemed a little bit unreasonable to me but regardless we were happy to wait until that time to pick it up.
At 6:30 PM we gave them a call and asked whether the food would be ready closer to 7 PM or 7:30 and we were told that they were just starting the order and it would be ready at 7. This was of course shocking because this means they only needed 30 minutes to make our order yet they told us we couldn’t pick it up for over 2 hours after we requested? Seems like we just got penalized just because we had a bigger order? That’s not how restaurant take-out should be.
The customer service when we went to pick up the food and paid was not particularly good at all. No thank you or any pleasantries when we just spent a ton of money on a huge order that we waited over 2 1/2 hours for.
I won’t spend this much money at an establishment that doesn’t want my business again.
It was our first time trying out this place. We made an online order for pick-up. Took over an hour for us to receive our food. 30-40 min of waiting is understandable, I get restaurants get busy but over an hour of waiting at the restaurant for pick up, is incomprehensible to me. We left without the food, even though it was offered for free. It was the biggest waste of time. Not worth the wait.

Yesterday my husband and I had another delicious dinner at Namaste. We highly recommend the daal makhani, the mixed vegetable coco curry and the baigan bharta. We accompanied these delicious dishes with naan and rice.
Another favorite dish is the fish kabab (salmon) from the tandoori oven.
The owner and his family and the staff are great.
It is certainly worth the drive from Petaluma

Stopped by here after a hike and the timing was perfect. Drinks and food all came out at the perfect time, I didn't feel like I was wondering where my food is.
As for the quality of the dishes, they were excellent. The garlic naan especially, it surprised me the most. It was on the thinner side but it complimented the butter chicken and saffron rice perfectly. Rounded it all out with the cucumber salad and a masala chai to complete the food pyramid.
I look forward to trying other dishes, a plate of tandoori chicken walked by and turned every head in the building. I think I'll start there.

The food is sooo good! It's healthy and delicious. They seem to use fresh ingredients. The chai was amazing. The garlic naan was something else! It was crispy yet soft inside. The butter chicken and pakora were delicious. I also loved the vibe. I enjoyed reading all the zen writings on the wall. Whenever i come here, i feel happy.

Fantastic tasting and healthy food, most of the menu is gluten free. The staff are all extremely courteous and kind. The portions are big and the prices are very fair. I will definitely go back and I highly recommend checking this place out to anyone considering!
