Gotta be open the hours you say you are. Got a very disappointed family. Sunday, 6:31, all social says you are open…. You are not. Feel free to reach out and explain.
Skip this place if you like legit bbq. "Texas style" this was not.The restaurant itself looks straight out of the 60s. But not a nice restaurant out of the 60s, just.. somewhere that needs a desperate update. When we walked in we sat down for about 10 minutes before we were greeted, given a menu (after being asked if we knew what we wanted) and served. The chef/server/only person there was very pleasant. In terms of drinks, there were Pepsi (just Pepsi, no diet, no other soda), water, and Budweiser.I ordered a combo plate to try two meats but honestly wouldn't have been able to distinguish them. All the meats we tried were sitting in oil (I'm not going to take a picture of the remains in my styrofoam box since that's gross, but I am talking a solid 2-3 tbsp of oil floating in the box). Why so much oil? There was no meaningful seasoning on any of the ribs, which were tough. Also, this is a basic barbecue prep - pull off the silver skin membrane off the back! They all had the ridiculously tough papery membrane on the back which doesn't break down during low-and-slow cooking, and there's no reason for that to be left on.I gave it one star because the guy was pleasant, but sadly I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
The Lamb here is unparalleled.I have eaten a lot of BBQ all over, the finesse and excellence of the lamb preparation here is amazing. I can't say enough about the Lamb. They have truly mastered it. Suggested plate if you like lamb:Lamb plate with the "hot" sauce and two potato salad sides.
closed for deep cleaning. call ahead
This was my 3rd visit to Pack Jack tonight. The first 2 were excellent. Not the 3rd.The brisket that I ordered was horrible. Looked like it had beensitting in the open all day....dried out and overcooked. The beans were cold. BBQ sauce was like gelatin.I won't go back. No excuse for this.

Delicious. I had the spicy housemade link in their spicy BBQ sauce and coleslaw. Top notch food. I will be back.
Just moved to the area and I'm so glad I found this place. Martin grilled up some hot links and beef brisket for me with coleslaw and beans on the side. On point!!!!! The inside is filled with history about the restaurant over the many years and the family that make this place great. Definitely a really comfortable at home feeling here. I definitely recommend to anyone new to the area looking for some real BBQ. I'll be back again and again. Thanks Martin!!
The barbecue is great. Service is slow, there's flies. Sides are store bought. Serving portions have shrunk
Great bbq, smokie, delicious sauces. The cowboy beans are out of this world! A little run down inside but made up for by the friendly service, reasonable prices, and good food. Fun place to watch the Giants game.
Restaurantji Recommends
it takes a lot for me to give a one-star review because I'm honestly not that picky of an eater but when I go in and I make an order and all I hear is the opening and closing of microwaves going at full speed I get a little concerned. The potato salad in the beans definitely come from cans the potato salad for sure comes from Safeway because I've seen the container my food was definitely microwaved because my pulled pork was half cold half warm it's a very suspicious looking place that has some sort of vending machine for soda in the back of the kitchen. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody there are definitely a lot cleaner and safer places to eat of higher quality especially in Sonoma county but if you insist. Courage
I have had take out from this restaurant maybe six times in the past 1 1/2 yrs. Mostly the pork ribs. I can say that the last three or four visits have been exc.Truly Texas style bbq. which i prefer. Smokier, dryer and they will give the sauce on the side(my preference) Side dishes are outstanding. Their cole slaw especially.Potato salad as well.....Still haven't explored the menu but look forward to trying the pulled pork and they also offer lamb. I would give five stars but have had odd pickups like nobody home. No one right there to validate and process your order upon arrival. Just understaffed I think. Friendly old family business with a feel of Black Texas BBQ Cowboys. A liitle funky but well worth it. Good value also. Recommended
Good. Edible. Place needs a good scrubbing. Maybe I shouldn't have gone when they first opened.
We love their BBQ! The pies are out of this world! we have ordered whole sweet potato & pecan pies for the holidays from them. unbelievably delicious! potato salad, best tasting beans anywhere, ribs, chicken are our FAVS .......& the links are also good.
Had the Beef ribs and Chicken....tasted like they were sitting on the grill for a few days then warmed up when we ordered...had a weird nasty taste will not go back....very disappointed!
