Tasty ramen. You don't rate the food and service alone and ignore the prices. At $25 for a bowl of ramen even though it's good, it averages out to 3 stars for me.
We love this place we go there all the time, the pork buns are the best you’ll ever have. Dessert is incredible. But,we wish the drinks were better. Margarita taste delicious but they put so much ice inside the cup ,You can barely get three sips, also no espresso machine so you can’t order espresso martinis which is the most popular drink right now ,and whatever they try to substitute it with was impossible to drink. I wish the drinks were better😔…
This was actually my 3rd time eating here, but it still felt like my 1st time getting laid. Truly, this isn't a Maruchan Cup-O-Noodle... It's a premium experience, delivered by a team with a serious dedication to excellence. Good job guys, and thank you for keeping me fed.
The menu prices on Yelp need to be updated. The ramen is NOT $15 but $23 PLUS $2-3 for any additional sides in your ramen. This is the most expensive bowl of ramen yet that I've had in the Bay Area and somehow the weakest in terms of flavor and technique.
We ordered the tantanmen and the shoyu ramen. For the Shoyu ramen, the soup did not taste like it had depth in flavor from the broth but more like it was made with boiling water right then and there with the added flavoring of salt and dashi made with a lot of bonito. The chashu pork was too thick of a slice. The thick slices make it seem like you're eating fatty slabs in every bite. There were no special ingredients. There was spring mix salad in the tantanmen? Idk. The tantanmen was the same, the soup was a tolerable spicy but lacked umami.
We also ordered the bao, but again, the chashu pieces were too thick, and the way they cooked it made the texture tough which was an odd contrast with the soft dough.
On the other hand, the service was good. The vibe of the restaurant was great. Would probably recommend going for their happy hour but other than that, probably would not go again for the value of money. I'd recommend just spending the extra $$ to go across the bridge to get some authentic ramen from Menshos or even Marufuku.
Hands down the best ramen in the US! Vibe is awesome, the food is awesome, the staffs are awesome. I’ll 100% drive another 2 hours to be back here
Always good eats there. My constant go-to’s are the spicy tantanmen ramen and the bao buns. They’ve got some really good cocktails. I’d recommend reservations for a Friday or Saturday evening.
Unique delicious Japanese dishes, great atmosphere and service.
We had the spicy ramen and the crispy chicken. The chicken dish comes with a miso wasabi dipping sauce. This was delicious. The ramen was good but the noodles were not the kind that I’m familiar with and I would prefer more spicy and the egg have a little bit of runny yolk.
Dog friendly too.
Ramen was fairly bland and one dimensional, really lacking the depth/umami of Japanese ramen broth. The spicy tantan was better than the shiitake miso ramen but still average. The tsukemono (pickle selection) wasn’t great either. The interior is big and modern and waiter was nice but we also waited an hour to receive our food.
Super cool place, with very warm and welcoming atmosphere and staff. Food and drinks were great.

wonderful food but weirdly rude (i’d say racist but giving the benefit of the doubt) staff member waited on our table lol. no need to chat the night away but my girl was laughing n loving w the white patrons & not us LOL! anyway, the hostess was really sweet :)
edit: seeing a lot of low reviews of the rude waitress… good to know it wasn’t just us!

If you don't like flavor and love bland food you'll definitely love this place. The noodles were not delicious, the ramen broth was bland, very little broth in the bowl and we ordered sides specifically asking the sides be placed in a separate bowl but that didn't happen.
The karage chicken was lacking seasoning.
The service was great by the bartender hosting us.
If you're looking for a bland meal this is the place.
The guests next to us agreed this ramen was lacking and if you want a true ramen experience go to Japan town in SF or buy a 25 cents pack of ramen noodles from grocery store saving yourself time & big let down.
We've had great experiences in the past, this time was a let down with the heavy price tag, OUCH!
We won't be back for food but drinks definitely. They have a great bartender doing an excellent job on cocktails.
