I don't live in the area but some friends and I are out that way for an event at a winery each year for many years now and always stop at Screaming Mimi's. In past years I would have rated it 5 out of 5 but this year was a disappointment. In the past the flavors were really interesting and there had to have been 30 or 40 different flavors. Starting this out to say - Screamin’ Mimis is a Sebastapol icon, it’s a very popular place and has the tastiness to prove it. They served probably 25 people in the 30 minutes we were there. Looking at the menu, there were seven (eight?) vegan flavors and a very clear sign that non-dairy options included cups or a vegan waffle cone (at $2.75). Whoever says this place isn’t the actual best is either a liar or full of it. Every time I eat at any other ice cream place, I compare it to this. Nothing ever beats it out. Ever.
