I absolutely HATE writing bad reviews. However, I feel like this needs to be said.
Perhaps it was an off time for them (the two times I’ve been here), possibly a new cook or equipment issues. In either case, I was not impressed when I visited this establishment. However, this time struck a nerve. A good O’l burger is possibly one of my favorite foods, so I'm quite possibly a snob in this department, but here is my experience.
Customer Service: 10/10. The cashier was polite and friendly, and informed me that a large fry would serve 9 people and a small could feed 2-3.
Burger: The condiments were pretty sparse. The lettuce, onion, and tomato were fresh. Bun was soft…. The patty… where do I begin? Is it possible to kill a cow twice? If you're imagining a charcoal hockey puck, then you'd be correct. Bitter, crunchy, and dehydrated with the thinnest line of brown to confirm that it was once meat. I understand that burger patties need to be well done, as the grinding process can introduce bacteria, though I do not find cremation an acceptable cooking method.
Fries: Regular 5/10, Cajun 7/10
Overall, I'd be a lot less upset if it were just one of the 4 burgers I purchased, rather than all 4. My family had deemed the burgers inedible, so we ate the massive portion of fries instead.

My fiancée walked to this place after calling in an order. She clarified no cheese on her food, they said it back to her. After arriving she walked back home to find cheese in her food, went back again to get at least decent customer service but the people today 2/4/26 4 pm bullied her, she walked to the store next store to get help from the owner, he gave her money back and said keep the food for the inconvenience and went to grab it from the restaurant but the employees declined and said no, I will insist to anyone who talks about this place find a kinder spot. Y’all lost loyal customers

This old icon still provides the best hamburgers, both regular and low calorie (with the lettuce leaf wrapper) in the Sebastopol area. The ambiance is working class funky, but clean. Ingress and egress is easy. The shakes are good, but pricey.

Awesome burger !! Fresh cut fries. Don’t get a large fry unless you’re really hungry. Small fries are huge !! I definitely recommend this place !!!

Went here for the first time today. When ordering I told the girl I was new, never been here before. I asked for a cheese burger with everything, small fry, small coke. Wait time was 15 minutes which was great. When they handed me the bag it was huge and very heavy. I said are you sure this is my order, the guy repeated my order, I said OK. Sat out front on the picnic tables, opened the bag to find a huge, I mean HUGE bag of fries. So many fries it could serve 6 people. I has no idea that the SMALL fry was this Huge. I went to the counter to explain that I didn't want that many fries. The rude guy said that's the small. I said, I told you guys I was new and why wouldn't you tell me about the fries when ordered. He just glared at me. The burger was terrible, the meat was so thin and didn't even fit the bun it was so small! With all the great burger places in Sonoma County Im surprised this place is still in business! $25 for this terrible meal. I will never go back. Sad because I drove by many times and finally gave it a try. I do not recommend!

Ordered a redwood burger with fries and onion rings. Overdone burger, no cheese,mayo or ketchup. Fries weren't crispy either. Wasn't busy either. Now I know why. Won't be back.
