This is a great restaurant in Sebastopol for quality of food and service. Delicious and great presentation.

The omakase experience was so engaging. We sat at the sushi counter and Ben was very informative in a fun manner. The nigiri sushi was so fresh and the accoutrements were perfect. The scallops from Japan were my favorite. This is a special treat not to be missed!

My first visit left a very good impression. Started with the jalapeño Hamachi sashimi with a light citrus marinade. The fish was some of the freshest this side of Japan. Similarly the Chūtoro (medium-fatty, from belly/near tail) nigiri was knee-weakening, and the spicy tuna roll was perfectly seasoned and fresh. We liked that the roll pieces were truly bite-sized and that there were just 8 pieces in the roll ~ leaving room for the ridiculously delicious unagi nigiri. Service is a little slow, but good things are worth waiting for. The noise level could be challenging on a busy night, but, again, worth yelling over, if necessary. Went just yesterday for lunch and going back tomorrow for dinner. Can't wait.

It was a delightful evening out for a first-time dining experiance at Sushi Kosho. The entree's were delicious, as well as the dessert offerings. (The salmon citrus role was a dish of note!) Our wait staff Jade was helpful, friendly and water glasses were attended well. The wine offerings-per-glass could have had more to offer, but not an issue. Overall, for all of the mid-priced sushi establishments in Sonoma County that we've been to, this one is now on top. We were pleased and we'll be back!

Cocktails, hot appetizers, sashimi, nigiri and finally miso soup...all very flavorful and well presented. Attentive service and an excellent sake recommendation made for a perfect evening. We'll return, soon!

We had a family gathering of 7 adults and 3 girls. The food was delicious and the presentation of the Sushi was unbelievable. Would definitely recommend. Don't forget to try the desserts.. yummy.

The fish was very good! Loved the calamari dish, unique and well executed. And the double down roll will keep me coming back for more!

What a miss. We dined at Sushi Kosho no long after it first opened, felt it was neither great nor bad. Didn't return because we were fans of Hana in Rohnert Park. Now, with Hana gone, we decided to try Sushi Kosho again. We reserved at the sushi bar -- or what passes for a sushi bar. Little interaction with the "chefs" (really, chefs?) who cranked out all of the sushi orders. We ordered from the servers -- they got one order very wrong (doubled up on one thing, left out another). The food was generally nicely presented, and the portions were generous (although generous portions are not the measure of a great sushi place). Unfortunately, the fish ranged from bland to fishy-in-a-not-good way, with a few stops in between at very good. The ambience, if you can call it ambience, was utterly lacking. I've been eating sushi at great restaurants for over 50 years, this was not it. My wife said it was no different from any place in a strip mall. We felt the guys behind the bar were working hard (too hard?) and were very nice, but this was not the "authentic experience" that Sushi Kosho suggest it will deliver. We won't return.

Sushi Kosho is the best sushi in Northern California by far! Perfect execution, super fresh fish, and high quality ingredients. I love the selection of unique and nutrition, dense starters like the spinach, seaweed salad, and the mushrooms to name a few. The rolls are phenomenal as well as the donburi and Poké bowls. Cooked items are also next level. You pretty much can't go wrong with the entire menu depending on what you're going after. Youwill leave more than pleased, fully satisfied, and feeling good!

Our small group went for a late weekend lunch. We were seated promptly (even a few minutes before our reservation) at a comfortable patio table--luckily in the shade, since it was quite warm. We thoroughly enjoyed the assortment of menu items, especially the salmon avocado maki and the seaweed salad, which was not the usual but was made with Tosaka seaweed. Overall a good sushi experience worth returning for.

We live in Santa Rosa, and Sushi Kosho is by far our favorite sushi spot in Sonoma County! We love the hamachi jalapeño and the wide variety of sashimi offerings. Consistently great!
