Been here twice first time no problems, great food and live music. The second time there was chicken egg in the breakfast burrito we ordered that said it was supposed to have JUST egg. We asked the person working there and explained that JUST egg is a vegan egg substitute. She just said that they are "changing things right now"... Not really sure what that means but it was labeled vegan and came out not vegan! So if you go here ask to make sure it's vegan!

I really want to help get the word out about this amazing place. They have something for everyone. I've *heard* about it for years, but did not go there until recently and did not realize that it would be this great. I've been getting the Very Vegan Burrito most often but the Gratitude Burrito is good too. And so much more. Even vegan Horchata! And desserts! Yum! Great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of parking. The super nice owner and Persian offerings are the icing on the cake! Picked up a bottle of cardamom water to add to my favorite beverages. ANYONE NEAR THE BAY AREA OR SONOMA COUNTY, GET OVER HERE!

THIS is a must-visit for vegans and vegetarians. Staff is the most friendly. They have a full two page vegan menu, and a good selection for omnivores. I wanted to order one of everything. I got the Vegan Gratitude and it was an absolute unit of a god-sent burrito. It is huge, it is so tasty, could not recommend more.

I ordered a delivery the first time. After tasting the gratitude burrito, I 2as interested in who created this. I met Sima, the creator. This restaurant has been open since 1986. High praise for the flavors and rhe separate vegan menu. The yam and potatoes with the refried beans and corn salsa are amazing. Thank you.

Very filling: my burrito was huge and there were free tortilla chips before.
The restaurant was empty when we came, though it was around 3 PM on a weekday. Hopefully they're getting enough business.

Came predominantly for the gluten-free burrito, and it did not disappoint! They use a cassava flour tortilla, which was really good. I was so happy to have a legit burrito after 10+ years of having celiac. I had the carnitas tropical burrito -- carnitas, beans, rice, and an apple chipotle salsa. It was so tasty! They also had really good drinks -- we tried a cucumber mint mocktail drink with dinner and a Fresca lemon drink for the road. Both were super refreshing on a hot day.
And finally the service -- I didn't catch her name, but I got the feeling she was the owner or manager. I loved her! Her attitude was phenomenal and she truly tried to take care of her guests. I overheard her tell another guest that she has special things on the menu (vegan, gluten free, etc) because she knows most restaurants won't have those things because they aren't "money makers." It's so obvious that she cares about what she does and it shows in the food and overall experience!

Even if they serve meat there's still tons of vegan choices and almost everything can be made vegan. They are almost 100% organic! Really delicious Mexican food. My wife's favorite is the Vegan nachos.

Just passing through town and decided to stop at Viva Mexican, so glad I did!! Instantly welcomed, a watermelon juice drink was suggested, which I had and absolutely lovED! The chips and salsa were very good, and then came the awesome Veggies From Heaven Burrito! Wow! Best vegan burrito I’ve ever had (they DO have regular burritos as well, those sounded tasty too!)
