I had the Barbacoa, it was the best I had in years. The food made me feel like been in a quinceañera and the food been made by a Tia or grandma. I’m just passing by this small town and I’m sure I won’t be here again but I will just take some Barbacoa for the road. Sorry for the photo, it was taken after I finished.😅

I stopped here completely at random after seeing it on a gas station stop on a long roadtrip. They had the barbacoa special on Thursday, it came with 3 hand made tortillas that were to die for, and amazingly high quality barbacoa, rice, and beans. The agua fresca with lime and cilantro was delicious too! A total gem, and easily comparable to the last time I had home made mexican food in Tijuana! Don’t miss it!
Got the carnitas taco with hand made tortilla. It was delicious. The carnitas were crunchy yet moist and the tortilla was made as if grandma had made it. Come give them a try if you haven’t.

Queso Birria Tacos with homed tortillas for the win. Consume was extra, but worth it.
Me and my boyfriend decided to go to the restaurant in Shafter because he remembered having the “Cali burrito” and it was so good! We started off good, got off, ordered the burrito and that’s when things started going down hill. 10 minutes passed by, 20 minutes passed by, 30 minutes passed by, the initial person who took our order left, and another one swapped in. We are waiting thinking they would be yelling out our order name like a typical restaurant. The whole time the burritos were sitting there. 40 minutes later we finally received our order. Never going to this location again

Delicious and large street tacos ? tortillas are size of a hand, not small palm size like standard street tacos. Al pastor is grilled not braised. Delicious chicken not dry. Good flavoring with the chorizo. Great place for a date or even family night ... Offers some outside tables. Thanks to the local for referring this place ☺️?✨
