This is the first review; I have ever posted. I stopped going to Subway, a few years ago- as the meat portions were a joke. Recently, Subway has been promoting a new campaign. In the last week and a half, I have been to two other locations in the Northwest Bakersfield area, NO joke these locations made the #17 Roast Beef sandwich, like I would have. So, today I thought let me check this location (it's close to work). They had the promotional signage on their store front advertising this new campaign. There was no line at the counter- so i ordered my sandwich- The gal, making the sandwich LITERALLY, put 2 slices of meat across the 6inchs of bread- picture this, 1 slice of meat is what it ended up being. I asked the girl, "I want the #17 like what's promoted on your menu on the wall". She said... NO, we have to go by the paper (taped to the back of the counter) and it says 2 slices- my mind was blown! This location has always been chintzy, with thier portions- but, wow! Subway needs to stop by and order a sandwich here- this location is jeopardizing their brand. Save yourself the frustration, its NOT worth it... Too bad, as Shafter doesnt have many food options.

First off, the women employees of the Shell Subway station were friendly today. On another note the owner of the Shell/Subway station on Lerdo Hwy. is extremely verbally abusive to his women employees. I witnessed the verbal abuse first hand today. He was treating them extremely poorly today in front of me. I looked him straight in his eyes and said he was being extremely rude and dehumanizing to these woman. He didn't blink an eye. Can't image how he treats them when customers aren't present. He is known for HIS verbal abuse to all of them. I think the owner needs to step back and realize people are willing to work, but not be abused. Knowing most of these hard working woman are trying to make ends meet, supporting themselves and their families. They don't need to endure mental anguish going into to their workplace. Wake up owner of Shell/Subway on Lerdo Hwy. and Subway on Central Ave. in Shafter, CA. Straight up, you're a misogynistic abuser to your employees at your businesses. You need a new mindset in a positive way.

They gave me my sandwich wrapped in a brown paper bag! It's not like they ran out of paper as you can see the other sandwiches were wrapped in regular paper! How disgusting!! I ordered thru the subway app and picked up our order. Never go here!!

Ordered the sweet onion chicken teriyaki and the Italian BMT they were both really good nice and fresh
IS ZERO STARS A OPTION.. My boyfriend just went to this subwayHe ordered on the phone, showed up and his sandwich wasn't ready... no biggie. As he is waiting for it to be made, candy falls out of the girls pockets. She picks it up with her gloves still on and sets the candy on the counter where they make sandwiches then PROCEEDS to make his sandwich!He asks her if she just picked something off the floor she said yes but that it wasn't anything she put in his sandwich. She then tries to justify it by saying that they just mopped the floor and says the floor is clean????He asked her if she can please change her gloves and remake the sandwich she agrees which is cool but then takes the food from his sandwich and dumps it back into the containers. THIS IS DISGUSTING! How? What? And Why? If you yourself would not eat things from off the floor, mopped or not.... PLEASE do not serve it to people! He OBVIOUSLY left without a sandwich.
