Trading Post Reviews
We came in for dinner on January 1st with some good friends. We were there late and the bartender and waitresses invited us over by the fire at the bar to continue catching up with our friends and enjoy our kid free night out. We always feel welcomed when we stop in and look forward to many more meals by the fire!
Fabulous lunch yesterday, steak slider with a glass of Justin Merlo ... yum yum
Had a great evening last night at the Trading Post in Shaver Lake. We had the Calamari and Fillet of Sole. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. Their entrees are served with soup and salad too which is old school. Loved it! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a mixed menu with great options. The ambiance is warm and inviting especially in the bar area with the fireplace. For desert we had the Cheesecake and it was delicious! Thank you for a great evening!

Trading Post is a welcoming restaurant that offers a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a night out with friends or a meal with family. The staff is friendly and attentive, recommending great dishes like the breakfast burrito and pancakes. The restaurant is known for its "World Famous chunky bread" and has a local, mom-and-pop feel. It features a beautiful patio area with a water feature that enhances the overall ambiance, especially during sunset when patio lights come on. The menu includes some vegetarian options and kid-friendly bites, making it suitable for all ages. Guests often enjoy a variety of dishes, such as Ribeye steaks, Monterey Chicken, and spinach and cheese raviolis. The bread served with butter is a highlight, and desserts like Peanut Butter Pie receive high praise. The restaurant offers generous portions, often serving what feels like a three-course meal for the price, making it a good value. The historic building adds charm to the dining experience. Customers have praised the quality of the food, including the New York steak with soup, salad, and a side of choice, noting that while the meat can have some grissle, overall it was good. The rustic and well-decorated setting with knotty pine creates a warm and inviting space, though it can be fairly loud at times, especially when the adjacent bar is busy. Reservations are recommended, especially during busy hours. The bartenders and staff, like Garrett, are known for their friendly service and great drinks, including spot-on martinis. Visitors appreciate the warm welcome from the locals, making them feel at home in this historic and mountain-inspired setting. With outstanding customer service and a relaxing atmosphere, Trading Post remains a hidden gem worth visiting.
