Easily an above-average poke shop. I wasn't even craving poke when I first discovered this spot, but I instantly walked in when I saw photos of the crispy onion topping. It's probably one of the more distinctive features compared some other locations I've visited. ***Caution*** - the smell is pungent... so maybe have a breath mint after? When you just look at the price, it seems a bit expensive, but the quantity is well worth it. I ordered a medium bowl and it was more than satiating. Found myself full with an awkward amount left, so I finished the entire plate. I was wrestling with food coma for the next few hours. Quality of each ingredient is pretty solid. I don't think I experienced anything bad while eating the food. The only reason I took off a star is due to the environment. The interior seems a bit run down and I would not want to eat inside there again. It seemed gloomy and not a place to stay. There also aren't too many seats inside which makes me think the manager wants people to take their food and go.

The fish is fresh, and. the price is fair. Quality, plus quantity when it comes to poke is hard to find.! I found it at 8oz Poke yummy yummy for tummy..

Let me begin by saying, if you're someone that doesn't mind rude service and you just go to the restaurant for the food, ignore this post.... I've been a patron of this poke place for almost 3 years now.... I know most of the staff and MOST of the time they're lovely. However , I always notice a negative attitude given to me from the manager here.... Today was especially awful because apart from rushing my order (the store was dead by the way--no need to Rush me...), she and her other coworker laughed me out the door as well as when I entered the establishment... I've never felt so disrespected at a place where I'm always friendly and grateful for good service. I also used to tip every time I came to order , but lately this attitude has become a habit for these girls... Sad ... I guess they find it hilarious that I drop my money here many times a month. Maybe the stores actual owner will notice , and replace the staff failing to provide great service ... In the mean time, I'll find somewhere else to leave my money .....

Headed in for poke! 8oz is one of the best, if not the best spot in the valley for quick service poké. From the heaps of rice to the fish options and long list of different ingredients to make your custom Poké bowl... you really can't go wrong here. I love the spicy tuna & salmon with the garlic ponzu sauce. The workers are happy to accommodate and help you craft your perfect dish! Quick service, can sit and eat if you'd like, most pickup and go, smaller place! Highly recommend

It's a small take out shop with a lot of good options. Finally a poke place that actually sells spicy tuna. I love that they also have Masago as an option. It's an extra charge but I love the crunch. They have small 2scoops, medium 3scoops and large 4 scoops. That's the one I get since I only get lettuce as my base. It's $20 for 4 scoops fish and two topping's. I will put pics of what they have for options.

delicious poke in Sherman Oaks area! Fish was super fresh and the mix of house sauce with original poke sauce paired perfectly, however the stand out was definitely the crispy onions topping. it reminded me so much of the vietnamese dish banh tom, and so unlike any other fried onion ive had at other poke joints. would come back just for that. pricey but expected price for poke near LA, we found that a large poke bowl with a side of extra fish fulfilled 2 people. parking is not easy, restaurant is located in a small plaza with a parking lot but a good amount of the spots are reserved for other restaurants, we had to circle around a few times before we found one. overall still a great spot for poke in the valley :)

Love this place. The best poke place in town. Sauces on point, service on point, fish fresh and perfect.

I recently tried the poke bowl at this place, and it was absolutely fantastic! The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was top-notch!

I'd say this poke spot is one of the best poke places i've been to! the medium poke bowl made me so full. i'd definitely come back here if i get the chance to visit sherman oaks again.

My favorite poke place! The best fish I’ve had in a poke bowl yet. Do not sleep on the house, original poke, and the spicy mayo sauce combo, with eel sauce on top. I would eat here EVERY DAY if I could.PS: The parking lot is atrocious - no one knows how to drive in it - but they can’t control that.Parking: This parking lot has 2 entrances and 1 exit. The flow of traffic is not apparent from first entrance. Drivers often go the wrong way and use the 2nd entrance as an exit. It’s an absolute cluster. Spots are small, and non-compact cars often park over the lines, taking up more than one space. I usually walk to this shopping center because it’s so bad.

It's not bad, the fish certainly isn't top tier but tastes good and gets the job done. Rice is a little dry.

I'm disappointed to have to write this review, as I have been a loyal 8oz Poke customer since its days of the West Hollywood location. Since it closed, I've ordered delivery from Studio City, and tipped the delivery driver well just to be able to order specifically from 8oz. My only request is that the restaurant put the fish in a separate container from the rice, as the rice is warm and will transfer heat to the fish in transit (a safety concern). However 8oz Poke let me know tonight that they will no longer accommodate the rice in a separate container for to-go orders. Unfortunately food safety is my priority, so sounds like my days of ordering from 8oz are officially over. That said, I would still suggest the restaurant for dine-in customers.
