There’s a kind of magic that happens when you stumble into a place with no pretense, just raw fire and soul poured onto a plate. A&V Grill Kitchen, tucked into a nondescript strip on Weddington Street, is exactly that kind of place. You wouldn’t know it from the outside — a few patio tables, a neon sign, the casual hum of a neighborhood grinding on — but inside, they’re doing the Lord’s work with a shawarma spit and a dream.
