Looks like Dave’s drove them out of business. Bummer. I liked the chicken breast meal.

Tried to order takeout here last night. Phone calls go nowhere. Website no longer lists this location. Ended up driving by to see that the location looks closed. Would be nice if they would state this on their outgoing message so it isn't a mystery.

Update your hours, dummies. You're closed at 1 pm on a Tuesday. Yelp wants more words so here.

I was carving for fried chicken so badly today (Sunday noon), so i yelped to the nearest fried chicken location after church, and Al's Hot Chicken was part of the suggestion.Parking: street parking, no meter needed on SundayInterior: nice and clean and empty, but was a bit darker for sit down (I think because they have just opened at 11:30am and that most customers prefer take-out)Food: I ordered the most spicy level on the menu ("extreme spicy" level instead of "LA spicy" because "LA spicy" was not available today):Waffle with leg and thigh: the chicken was very crunchy (a good choice if you have been on a diet for the whole week and want to reward yourself:). A bit on the salty side for me, and actually not too spicy for me (I can take very very spicy). So I think a medium spicy level is good for most of people who enjoys a kick of flavour but not overwhelmed by the numbness. The waffle is sweet in itself, so it balances well with the spicy of the chicken, but too sweet for me if I were to eat the waffles alone. If I were to choose again, I might go with the chicken strips only instead, because the meat was not enough for my appetiteCurly fries: pretty good and can't go wrong with curly fries.I checked-in on Yelp before I paid and got a free can of soda. Thank you Al's hot chicken!

To be honest, I usually only wrote reviews when an establishment has seriously wronged me or simply just sucked, but this place deserves all the good reviews it has and more. I live minutes away, and come here often. The fried chicken here is the best I've had so far which is why we keep coming back. Parking sucks, but it's LA. I never eat inside, I don't love the cramped feeling, but it doesn't deter me from getting to go from here frequently. I hope they stay here and continue to serve the best fried chicken in the area! Also, the staff is very nice and accommodating, it's hard in the service industry so it's always appreciated when both sides of the counter are friendly.

Al's Hot Chicken is one of the best fried chicken I've ever had!I ordered the Nash Sandwich combo, heat level medium. I am completely obsessed with how perfect the medium spice was. Enough to get my nose runy from the spice, but gentle enough to not make me choke - JUST right, true medium. The taste? Superb. You know when you've had a long day and when you finally get a moment to sit down to eat, and the meal is just perfection? That's how I felt after my experience here. The fries? Perfecto! I'm a potato fiend and love the fries. They have a lot of sauces and offer 2 with your order, you are welcome to order extras if you're a sauce lover. Worth every penny!Parking is metered. There may be some paid parking lots as well as street parking. I like to shop around as there are so many interesting places around worth exploring. If you're in the area, Al's halal chicken shop is worth it. I feel utterly satisfied.

One of the best Hot Chicken places in the valley, portions and price go right up against the big boy Daves and the seasoning might even be better. Would definitely recommend trying dine in or self pickup as delivery often arrives quite steamy which makes the bun and fries a bit soggy. This is of course is nothing against the restaurant and simply a side effect of the hot food + foam packaging + time for delivery.Really the only negative thing I have to say would be that their curly fries could use a bit of work. They are ok, and the portion is great, but the seasoning is not quite right so they are not very flavorful.

I Waited in line for over three hours got to the window to order they told me that they are out of chicken. There was 20+ cars behind me Al’s , fried chicken needs to properly train management and employees. You can’t have people wait in line for hours and hours and hours and then because you’re closing in 10 minutes lie to all of your customers and say you are all out of chicken. Other businesses have better etiquette and professionalism and common courtesy to come out and tell people hey we’re not gonna have enough chicken or we’re running out of time. Other companies let their customers know that they will not make it to the Window on time to order. I will never come back. This business is poorly, ran and very slow in the fast food business.

Pros: good quality, good portion, freshCons: not so tasty, not good sauces, unprofessional packaging, very regular mac and cheese like store packs, and very sweet coleslaw.Overall good! But needs some improvement. If I want to rank it will be angry chikz, dave, then al's.

My husband LOVES fried chicken. I've finally jumped on board and I totally see what the hype is about. We've tried a few different spots in the area, and Al's is easily his favorite of them all. The ingredients are fresh, the batter is the perfect thickness, and the spice is at the right level. We love to order the 3pc chicken tenders with 2 waffles - absolutely delicious! We've also had the banana pudding, which is just a little too much to add on top of the calorie-dense, diabetes-inducing meal. The waffles are SO good. They remind me of Liège waffles. They are so sweet, and the syrup they include really takes the whole experience to the next level. Sometimes, it's a little too sweet and I wish I'd ordered fries, but their fries aren't that great tbh. The customer service isn't the best, so don't expect 5-star restaurant service at a friend chicken joint. The last time I came here, they were blasting rap music so loud it was like I was at a bar. They also forgot a few things the first time we came here, so definitely check your order before you leave. Come check out Al's! It's easily going to be your favorite hot chicken spot. They have limited parking in the lot in back. Otherwise, there's a bunch of street parking in front and around the corner. They accept credit card and Apple Pay. They also have a check in offer for a free soda when you check in on Yelp!

Oh man. Talk about good fried chicken! This place is it! The chicken was so moist and flavorful. I absolutely loved it. The waffles were really good too. I also ordered the mac & cheese and it was okay. It tasted a little bland. Like it need a little bit more salt and cheese. The texture of the maccaroni was perfect though. If they add those two things the mac & cheese might get sold out all the time lol The workers were super friendly and attentive. Place has indoor seating and a couple of tables outside. I'll definitely return here soon!

Had Dave’s Hot Chicken the day before and was so disappointed, so figured I’d try Al’s Hot Chicken, and I am so happy with my order, the service, the seasoning, the quality of my food was great, the flavor just blows Dave’s out of the water, this is my new favorite chicken spot to go to. I had the chicken sandwich with fries and after the first bite I fell in love.
