Elevated pricing but not particularly elevated or special Thai food. Overall it was decent, not great. The fried chicken, which on the night we went, basically every table in the restaurant ordered, was dry and a tad bland. It came with five large pieces of fried chicken but only a small dollop of sticky rice. The scallops with ginger lemongrass nam jim were pretty refreshing but they were the portion size of amuse bouche. The tom yum with yellowtail collar tasted like most tom yum I've ever had. The crab fried rice was pretty good. It was loaded with crab, almost too much. Also we wanted dessert but the dessert chef wasn't there until the second sitting so no dessert for us. Can't even plate some mangos with sticky rice without the dessert chef's supervision apparently.

What a lovely meal. Our server, Alan, is the greatest. Friendly, charming, w/ great advice for our meal. Food was delicious and the pacing made nothing languished at our table. The music is the exact right volume to make sure your conversation stays yours while the surrounding voices create an exciting din. Will be back, 100% Thank you!!Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms are wide enough for a manual chair, staff is delightful & accommodating. For a small, older restaurant it's remarkably accessible.

Food was pretty uniquely presented and generally quite tasty, and the service was quick and attentive, but the accolades naming this restaurant as LA's best are a bit perplexing.

Fabled for their fried chicken, som thum (payapa salad), curry, and their Thai Taco Tuesday for a reason. It's so hard to get in, a must book far in advance place.Vegetarian options: Solid vegetarian options.

I have been here 4 times and the first 3 were stellar. This visit disappointing on multiple levels.. .food was uneven. .dishes I have loved Thai fried chicken still a winner, brisket not as flavorful... Vegetable curry was terrific but drunken noodles blah... Crudo app was good as were the spring rolls... Just didn't smack if top 10 restaurant tier .. server was terrible... Virtually impossible to hear above the din which was really unpleasant when you have to speak so loudly to be heard... He spoke at one end of the table and made no effort to engage... The sommelier was dressed like a shlump and it was hard to take his recs seriously... $100 a bottle is on the low end here, so expected when we exceeded that price point something special, but it wasn't. It was a substandard experience. Would go again, but not too soon. And zero way to talk on the phone to the restaurant.. resy doesn't do at all times... Where's a human when you need one?

Haven't been here since before the alley dinners. It's still so fantastic. Tried a lot of new things and the BBQ Pork Collar is the best thing I've eaten this year. Just incredible.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Anajak Thai that I feel compelled to share. After making a reservation through Resy, I found myself in an unforeseen circumstance where I had to cancel my booking due to a health emergency. Despite promptly communicating my situation to the restaurant and expressing my willingness to find a mutually acceptable solution, my efforts were met with silence. The restaurant did not respond to my email, nor were they accessible via phone for further discussion.Subsequently, I was charged a $50 no-show fee without any consideration of the context or any attempt from the restaurant to understand or alleviate the situation. This lack of communication and inflexibility in handling unforeseen circumstances is not what I expect from a dining establishment, especially in times that require empathy and understanding. The experience has significantly impacted my view of Anajak Thai, not just for the financial penalty imposed during a challenging time, but more so for the complete absence of customer service and care. It's disheartening, as I had looked forward to dining at Anajak Thai and supporting the restaurant. Unfortunately, given this experience, I am compelled to share my story so that others are aware of the potential issues in dealing with reservations and customer service at this establishment.

Very popular restaurant but way too pricey !!I'd rather drive thai town where you can have the beat thai food.

Ok the service and servers were great, attentive and not overbearing. The food was under-flavored and over-spiced ( probably to cater to main stream) but the quality of ingredients was excellent. Way too noisy with extra loud music and lack of acoustics to allow enjoyment of the ambiance. The one great thing was the sparkling wine that one person in our party had ordered.

Just wow.Note* if you come with a party of 7 or more you will have to have a set menu.Parking: street parking is a pain that's what you have to deal with coming here. Try to get a reservation is highly recommended.Food: food food food. Wow this place. I haven't had a experience of food like this in a long time. I already tried to look back at the menu we had a couple of days ago and it already changed. I think they change it pretty often. What looks like it's still there is the southern fried chicken, brisket curry, chinese sausage fried rice, some amazing fish i do not remember haha.Service: Top tier, explaining the menu even when we had a chance to get a heads up before coming here. They had a wine guy recommend the off dry riesling to pair with our foods. Great suggestion. They were constantly making sure no water was not refilled, no plate hanging on our table more than a couple of minutes. Since we are in Sherman Oaks it does get very breezy, there was blankets for patrons to use, which was a very underrated thing to have. well done there. Our server Alan and his crew. WELL DONE YALL. Also thank you for waiting for us, i know we were running late. Parking was tough haha.Ambiance: The inside looks really fun, but there is no way to have a party more than 4 at max. There was mostly party of twos inside. I saw Kobe jersey inside, very nice touch for me. You are going to sit outside if you are a party of 5 or more. There is no room inside. They do have heaters so it isn't as bad as it looks from the outside. It is pretty warm with the blankets if it does get cold for us like it did. This place is a recommendation for you other Yelp Elites. Go and get it.

$42 for two unseasoned prawns. The server should have let us know it was 5 bites. The ambience was nice, but a little loud. The crudo and crab rice was incredible though. I'm not sure if I'd go back for that reason alone.
