My wife and I just visited Blue Jam for the first time, and we're very pleased with the experience! Delicious food and drinks, great atmosphere, and friendly staff! We got the Crunchy French Toast, and Floritine Benedict, both were fantastic! Stoked to come back next time and try more from the menu!
Food has gone downhill a bit over the years, but still a solid choice for a satisfactory meal. You either order at the register or from a QR code, so not much in the way of service outside of someone bringing your order out. Like everywhere else, the prices have gotten 😵💫
Fast, friendly, and flawless.
I had one of the worst dining experiences in a long time at Blu Jam Cafe. I went in with high hopes based on the Google reviews, but the reality was incredibly disappointing.
I ordered the eggs Benedict with salad, and my partner got the shakshuka. The eggs Benedict was just bad — the muffin tasted dry and stale, the sauce was unpleasantly sour, and the bacon had a weird, off flavor. The shakshuka was barely acceptable — it tasted like sour water with tomato chunks. Instead of a thick, flavorful tomato base, it tasted more like salsa with an egg thrown on top.
The drinks were somehow worse. My partner’s latte was overpriced, cold, and tasted like something you’d get at a gas station. But the London Fog Lavender Latte (pictured) was truly one of the worst things I’ve ever tasted. It was just warm milk with an overpoweringly sweet, artificial syrup? I couldn’t taste any coffee at all. It was so nauseating I literally gagged at the table. It was a joke. We each took one sip and left it nearly untouched.
The food presentation was fine, and the iced tea was okay — but that’s about the only good I can say.
And yet, we walked away with a $68.98 bill (receipt attached) for this disaster of a brunch. Never again. I honestly just wish Samos Cafe had been open that day.
The oatmeal was watery and had hardly any fruit … could barely eat it 🫤 Coffee not great either …
Blu Jam Cafe is a popular brunch spot known for its creative twists on classic dishes. The French toast and crispy bacon are fan favorites, while the cozy atmosphere adds to the charm. With friendly service and a diverse menu, it’s a must-visit for brunch lovers.

The service and food were great. Use QRCs to get the menu and pay. You can bring your pets. I wished they cleaned their booths better.

I have enjoyed the blue jam for years. At this point, there is almost no human interaction. You order on the app. Someone brings your food but no one really comes back to check on you. My portion, shrinkflation. I got a BLT and I think there were 2 pieces of bacon on it. When I was done, I had to go figure out a to-go container for myself. I tipped 20% but I've never felt so much like I didn't get the value of my experience.
Very, very disappointing.

The Sherman Oaks location was a staple of wife and I for years as we lived down the street. However, since they've come back from Covid restrictions a few years back, they made the restaurant server free. Patrons order at an iPad and random expos run the food and drinks to the tables. It's drastically affected quality. You are pretty much are ignored once you get your food. I suppose this combats campers but punishes anyone that would like a refill or something else that might have been missed. For example, I wanted more condensed milk for the French toast and had to walk into the kitchen to ask someone. They are very busy there. You either have to walk into the kitchen or grab someone that's delivering food. It's a hassle as they are busy. At this point they should just make it full on counter service like places like Burger Lounge, The Counter, etc have done.
The food is really good, I love their eggwhich but insist on ordering over medium as I like it runny and that's how they used to serve it but switched to scrambled. Their French toast is also very good but be advised they do not have traditional syrup. it's served with condensed milk which might sound strange but it's very good. Their grilled potatoes are amazing if you like crispy hash browns. Almost a cross between home fries and shoe string potatoes.
My wife really LOVES the Italian breakfast.

NEVER order delivery from the Blu Jam website. They will not ring your doorbell even if you ask, and you have no other way of getting notifications about your food arriving. They estimated an hour delivery, delivered very early, and our food sat out in the cold for 30 minutes +

I absolutely love this place. The service is always amazing. Everyone is so friendly. You do have to scan the menu and pay right on the website. No cash accepted. But the food is divine. Everyone is so friendly, I just love coming alone and enjoying a meal. I came for my birthday with my girlfriends as well and it was just such a great time.
