Delicious and craveable. That first bite is swoon worthy. Crunchy and light. Those sauces - ask for extra they’re soo good to dip. A must when you’re in the area!

I wanted to take photos but we ate the food so quickly and nothing was left. Excellent pastries. We tried the cheese and zaatar yum yum yum and the potato and butter! I would definitely go there again and get the same order + every other item to try everything they have!Parking was annoying to find, they are located in a very busy lot with limited parking availability

Small spot, great service, amazing food! The neighborhood spot os great for a quick stop or to run into friends. The presentation transported me back to Israel. The bourekas are light and fluffy, while holding the creamy goodness of the spinach and feta, mushroom, or potato. Yumm!Vegetarian options: Bourekas, eggs and pickles, and sauces are all vegetarian.

O m g these pastries are some of the most delicious bites ive ever had. Idk what kind of magic this is but everyone needs to try this place. The dough is just perfect, its flaky and crispy on the outside and soo soft and warm on the inside. The chocolate dessert is literally a dream. I was so pleasantly surprised it was paired with a yogurt dipping sauce which broke up the richness and lets you eat even more. I do wish the fillings had a little more flavor but the pastry is just perfect. Cant recommend more!

One of the most delicious pastries I have ever enjoyed. Borekas Sephardic Pastries specialize in their namesake, which are popular in southern Europe and the Middle East. The pastries are flaky delicacies encasing various savory (and sometimes sweet) fillings, traditionally served with tomato pulp, schug, boiled eggs, and pickles. This gem of a bakery serves Borekas, drinks like Turkish coffee, and that's it! I recommend trying at least two different varieties. I opted for the Potato & Brown Butter and Fungi/Onion/Truffle. Both were exceptional, flavored with unfamiliar spices that enhanced the natural ingredients. Eaten together with the included accompaniments, every bite was memorable. All of the borekas on the menu at the time of our visit were vegetarian! A nice surprise for me, as a non meat eater. Highly recommended.

This place is made for to go. I would give the place a 6th star if i could. One of the most delicious borekas I have tried in my life. It's backed with perfection. The outside is deliciously crispy and the inside is soft and ooozing with deliciousness.Don't count on this place for ambiance - just grab a box cart sit down, eat & enjoy. The food is heaven on earth!

We ordered 2 different Borekas and they were perfectly flaky, soft, savory, flavorful, and filling. The pickles were a perfect acidic crunch to go with the rich borekas, abd the eggs were filling as well. The parking lot is small, so I recomend parking on the street or just crossing your fingers to get lucky.I will defintely be back and would love to try the Chocolate Boreka.

Saw this spot popup on Instagram and I knew I had to try it when I was in the area and thankfully I was able to go several weeks ago and wow was it absolutely delicious and worth the hype! It's very simple here as there's just the takeout window and several tables with plastic chairs on the side but it adds a nice communal vibe that I enjoyed while I dug into the Borekas! You can definitely feel the passion and love that they put into their pastries and service here is incredibly friendly! When you first open the open, you get an incredible smell of the Borekas, spices, and eggs! The Borekas were crunchy on the outside with a good amount of filling on the inside! The tomato pulp they give you on the side goes great on top and eating it with the soft eggs is such a delight! It's a great breakfast/lunch meal! Both the truffle and brown butter Borekas were delicious and I would order them again in a heartbeat! If you are in the area, come check them out as they are making something truly unique that you can't really get elsewhere in LA! Be warned, they do sell out sometimes on the weekends so it's best to come before noon! An easy 5/5 spot!
