This place is brilliant in the SFV. We had a birthday party and it was really fun. Food is just amazing! What I would recommend in the first place is Khinkali, lyuliya kebab, sturgeon. Everything else, however, is also tasty and just great! We were told all of the recipes are from old family history. Enjoy!

I can’t say enough about the food at Cafe Areni. We have the best cooks in my family, so I am not easily impressed. I ordered the harissa, the luleh wrap, the Armenian salad and the Borsh. Each one was amazing; Full of flavor and the perfect texture. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try authentic Armenian cuisine.

A very friendly stuff, clean real authentic Armenian place. They had extremely loud life music (-) but owner excused herself for it. It was the first day attempt. Food delicious (+) : tomato salad, hummus, fried potatoe with onions. I wish more vegetarian MAIN dishes would be offered, not just side dishes and appetizers. Drinks: we tried natural minimal water and yogurt drink - my friend liked it. That evening a bearded male group was dining there. A very meaty menu.
Vegetarian options: For vegetarians: few appetizers like hummus + side dishes: salads & potatoes. Hope they can introduce more vegetarians dishes

The food looks really interesting on the website. I ordered the stuffed chicken the mushroom rice, cabbage salad. I asked the nice woman if there was a sauce that went with it She brought me this incredible tomato paste,onion, jalapeño side dish that was amazing. I’ve already had three helpings. It’s so delicious. I will finish the rest tomorrow for breakfast if I don’t eat it all tonight!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. The Host was so nice, she made us feel at home. We ordered grilled chicken breast and beef lula for 4 of us. The Host suggested we get our order on plates to share and that was a great idea. My Portuguese parents in law never tried armenian food before, so we weren't sure how this is going to play out, but luckily they loved it. And I must agree, both the chicken and the beef lula were excellent! The pickled red cabbage salad as well as the tomato cucumber salad were fresh and very flavorful. I wish Areni restaurant had a location on East Coast; if we're ever in LA again, we will definitely come back! I'll say it again, the food was fantastic and the Host was so sweet, made our visit unforgettable.I should also mention this is a BYOB establishment.
