I came back here after many years because I heard the vibe was excellent, and it was. Unfortunately, the quality of the seed so very short and I suffered from extreme heartburn and upset stomach after my meal tacos. My friend ordered steak fajitas and they were mediocre at that. This dinner ended up costing us over $100 and unfortunately was not worth it at all. I would not go back for the food.
I booked a patio table on opentable, however when I got to the restaurant to check in the hostess informed me that the patio was closed and my reservation was moved inside. It would have been helpful for that either to not be available via the online app or to get a notice when the app confirms the reservation the day prior vs when you arrive. The service and food were great. Really enjoyed the esquites.
It's a great place. Good vibe and great look. It's not one of those places you go to for the food but the drinks are great and it's fun and nostalgic. It is like the El coyote of the valley or Ventura Blvd.
