Cea-lo will leave your jaw on the floor. An unassuming little restaurant off of Sepulveda that might make you think twice from the outside. All you need is one bite of their phenomenal food to know this is a restaurant you will visit again and again. The staff are poliete and the restaurant cared for well all hide the depth of flavor in their food and how it is so delicious.
The seasoning on the chicken is fantastic and had me licking my fingers after every bite. They don't skimp on the chicken sandwich either. Their sandwich is big enough to serve for 2 meals. I loved their Mac and Cheese and the hush puppies were a delight!
The food is made fresh so it can take a minute for it to arrive but the time waiting is well worth it!
I highly recommend Cea-lo to anyone who has a desire to have a meal that will leave them wanting more.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed the service was friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The ambiance is just perfect: cozy, inviting, and filled with the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer.
I ordered the fried catfish and jumbo shrimp, and let me tell you absolute perfection! The catfish was golden, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside, while the jumbo shrimp were seasoned just right and bursting with flavor. Every bite reminded me why comfort food is called comfort food.
This restaurant has mastered the balance of amazing food, exceptional service, and a warm, soulful vibe. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu! Highly recommend to anyone craving authentic soul food done right.

This little hidden gem!!! Food was AMAZING! Fried chicken, candied yams, greens, macaroni and cheese, beef ribs...all were delicious! We live in Ventura County and drove to the San Fernando Valley to check this place out. It was worth the drive. The food takes 20-25 minutes to be served and I am petfectly fine with that because it it made to order. Check them out. The owner is very attentive and provides great service!

The food is amazing!! Been to a lot of places for catfish and Mac n cheese and hands down the best!!!! One of our new favorites!! The tartar sauce can be eaten alone lol. The portion is big and the catfish has a lot of flavor. The juice has blackberry, soursop, orange juice, lemonade, and pineapple juice and it’s nothing like anything I’ve had.

I got the catfish dinner plate with black eyed peas and greens, with a side of potato salad. Absolutely loved the catfish. Cooked to perfection. The black eyed peas and potato salad were also tasty.

You know when you eat an incredible meal and you can’t stop talking about it for the rest of the day? That’s Cea-Lo LA. Incredible banana pudding, hush puppies, and the house punch was delicious. But the best part was those shrimp and grits. I’m still thinking about them. The shrimp was sautéed with some kind of garlicky goodness that was also on top of the grits, it was truly phenomenal, best I have ever had. It’s been like 5 hours, I’m still thinking about them. This has easily become my favorite place to eat in SoCal
