I stopped in for an espresso and ended up treating myself to a muffin and a vegetarian burrito as well. I’m glad I did — everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The burrito was perfectly balanced and satisfying, and the muffin paired wonderfully with the espresso.

The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the overall atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you can easily sit back, enjoy your food, and take your time. I’ll definitely be coming back.

This place was very disappointing. We ordered hot drinks and received iced ones, but the cup size is also incredibly small. There’s only one size and it’s much smaller than the tall / smallest size at Starbucks. Plus with ice it’s about two sips worth. For $7 per drink with non-dairy milk, we won’t be back here again.

Service-
The man who took our order was terrible. He looked like he wanted to be anywhere but where he was. I preceded to ask about the specials on the board (there are no details or paper printed explaining what they are) and he answered mumbling the ingredients. He made us feel like it was exhausting having to explain each latte. He’s got to get a better attitude to be the daily face of the shop.

The tall barista guy making the coffee this time around had an awesome attitude and seemed to care to be there. The other two times I have gone the girl barista was terrible making mostly matcha’s.

Coffee- The crème de la Crema is good- but it is identical to Loquat’s signature which is INCREDIBLE. Crema’s espresso is too acidic and they are lucky the syrups and cream mask the problem a tad.

The portions are terribly small for $8?!!!!!!! They need to lower the prices or have bigger cups.

Atmosphere- One word: Pretentious
Thank goodness they took out the camera machine.

All in all- I suggest taking the short drive down to Civil or Lynx for QUALITY coffee that is served in BIGGER cups for $8.

Walked in and ordered my usual order which has always been 6 dollars. They CHANGED THE CUP SIZE and handed me the tiniest cup of tea I’ve ever seen, it’s not even the size of my hand. And it was EIGHT DOLLARS 30 CENTS. The waiter said it was a credit card fee🤨 but what kind of fee is almost four dollars. Actually insane and I will never return back here. Waiter was also very rude and not accommodating when I asked about the extra charge.

Best coffee in town! Family owned, and good quality on every level. If you’re into supporting your neighborhood coffee shop, this is it!

There was an issue with the espresso machine and instead of any of the staff addressing the group of customers that had already waited nearly 20 minutes for drinks, the staff avoided eye contact and started telling people that came in that they couldn’t do coffee right now, all without addressing any customers who had already spent $10 dollars on a latte. Staff was rude to customers who they made wait, uncommunicative, and frankly anti social. I am a barista in LA, I know it’s tough, but all the problems created while I was there were so obviously self created. Wasted a half hour to try a new place only to receive poor customer service and very lackluster, expensive drinks, in an environment that felt much more curated for pictures than to actually spend time in. Take the money you make from over charging and buy some proper seating, not just cushions on a wooden bench that would be uncomfortable for anyone over 90 pounds. Also consider hiring a manager who knows how to make eye contact and address customers, unlike the rest of your current staff.
For anyone looking to open up a coffee shop in LA, I really encourage you to think beyond aesthetic because I’m so sick of these shops who want to overcharge you for bad service and bad products just because they have a photo booth in the corner.

Think I paid $10 for 3oz of cream and espresso. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing.

The staff here is so nice. I came in around 4pm on a Thursday and there was no line. I wasn’t sure what to order but the staff kindly pointed out their popular drinks. I went with the iced oatmilk vanilla latte with strawberry cold foam. The espresso was strong and tangy which paired well with the vanilla flavor, and the cold foam was a nice treat. With tip, I paid about $10 for the drink. It was a nice pick-me-up after work. I’ve heard good things about their matcha so I’m excited to try that! I’m always the person that reads reviews for parking - so for those people: This is on Ventura blvd, which is a busy street and you would be lucky to find paid meter parking 1 or 2 blocks away. Once you have it, pay for an hour to enjoy your coffee in the cafe, or half an hour (when it’s less busy) to get it to-go.

Crema Coffee is a new entrant in the Coffee Wars in Sherman Oaks. Located at 13750 Ventura, just east of Hazeltine they have created a great vide for the area and its residents. The modern design combined with the Nano Windows ( they open 100% so there are no front or side windows open during the day create a relaxing vibe and communal environment.
